I just went through a break up 2-3 days ago and we only lasted for 4 months. He cheated on me for the 2nd time, I confronted him, I had proofs of his conversation with his girl and everything else yet he wouldn't admit it instead he told me how dare I am to call him a cheater and a liar. I have never been so devastated in my life. I loved him with all my heart even after the first cheating. He promised me he'd never do it again and won't leave me, but he's completely gone now. I am now isolated with my own thoughts and questioning my worth. Crazy thing is I am willing to forgive him if he'd ask for it. I don't know what's gonna happen. I am trying to find answers for all of my questions that's why I get here. Part of me still wants him, and partly scared of getting more hurt and going through the same pain again. I hope I will surpass this pain the soonest the possible. I want my old self back, the happy one.

@phoenixmode69092 жыл бұрын
The way YOU just worded this-- "mourning the potential rather than the actuality"-- is exactly what I needed to hear. Matthew said it too-- but your rephrasing helped me take it in immensely. I mourned for the 'loss' of this person for 4 decades-- even while I was married and building a family and living my life. After my divorce, and that former person coming back into my life, I realized he wasn't good for me, even though I'd always believed he was "the one". After several months of carrying on long distance, even a week spent with him in his town, I realized he's toxic for me, and quite possibly NOT "the one". I broke it off with him, this time. I was grieving it. It was a similar situation to my long term marriage. It ended before I ended it. I grieved the loss even before the divorce. I'm healing from that now. But YOUR phrasing made me realize this morning, Mr. Toxic LDR isn't "the one" either, and suddenly, I'm not grieving the "loss". I'm feeling much better, and back in my healing and growing journey. Gotta lot of loving myself to do. 😊❤️🌻

It hurts, it wasn’t even two days after I moved out she was sleeping with him. I’ve blocked her on everything and not had anything to do with her. I wish I could have known the things about her past I do now so I could’ve known to avoid her, but unfortunately things don’t work like that. It’s hurts me to know how disposable I was, so easily after everything I did for her. I wasn’t perfect by any means, but I didn’t cheat or consider it once throughout our relationship. Women are all the same. You say "that's what I do like". I don't doubt that. I believe you do like that. Because it's honest, pure, true and open. But think about this. This guy is obviously an emotional person. So much so he is willing to pay to see someone who his ex used to talk about with hopes of getting a little help figuring out where he went wrong because he probably tried to be everything she wanted the guy She was trying to mold. But once she got done making her perfect BF. She was done. The new guy. The one she'll probably never leave is the opposite of the guy in the video. Willing to compromise but not afraid of putting his foot down because he isn't thinking about her leaving if he does. He's not worried if she's going to leave because he stood up for himself because the way he sees it. If she leaves because she doesn't like me then ok bye. The guy in the video never wanted her to leave but always felt like she might.

Here’s a piece of advice: when she moves on too fast, it’s mostly because she had someone lined up way before she left you. Best thing you can do is let her move on. Because the grass is not always greener. And when she realizes this, she’ll come back knowing she screwed up. There are few things In this world more painful than being walked away from by someone you love. Don’t spend your time thinking you’ve been replaced, and that you’re not good enough. Spend your time showing her from a distance that you were never replaced...you’re being missed out on. Then, once you realize you’re a better man for what you’ve been through, give that to someone who is willing to drink you up and accept you and all your improvements.

I can understand that you think it was all fake or lies and you both thought you were meant to be I think that at the moment you said all those things to each other everything was true but that it wasn’t meant forever and that it was in the past, so you are dwelling about the past and I get that, we are afraid of changes and when we look at the past we think about all these good moments and memories but we forget that there were also painful and sad memories where we got hurt and you have to learn to respect yourself that it’s not worth it to grieve over someone who doesn’t want you (although I understand that it’s hard to accept and takes time, but it will get better). Daniel Borrie as a woman, I can tell you that you're wrong. Anyone showing vulnerability is brave and strong. I'm not talking about constant breakdowns, but this man is more attractive to me (and I'm sure the women in the room and here online would agree) because of his openness and honesty. To be vulnerable shows that a person trusts you and only improves relationships. Being with someone who is closed off emotionally is very difficult. Relationships are about supporting each other, which means each person needs to be able to feel they can trust the other enough to be vulnerable. That goes for all genders.

Maaaaan i felt this man’s pain when he said he didn’t feel like he was good enough. That shit hurts. Me and my ex, We were together for 5 years and engaged for a Year and a half before we broke up. It was the toughest shit I ever had to deal with in my life because it was such a huge chunk of my life that got ripped away without my consent and all I was left with was memories that no longer comforted me but instead haunted me as a result and I had to live with that highlight reel in my head even though I wanted those memories gone. Plus, as a man we are forced to hide behind culture constructs of an emotionless man that society has painted us to be so we climb such a steep uphill battle. But after climbing this hell of a mountain, it’s truly a liberating feeling and I understand how that pain has grown me into this version of myself that I didn’t realize I needed. It never makes sense in the midst of that valley but when you get through it, you gain so much more perspective and insight as a overall human being. I’ve learned that their actions are never a reflection of your self worth, and You did the best that you could as the version you were in that relationship. Like the saying goes “when you’re in a dark place, sometimes you think you’re getting buried but you’re actually getting planted” give yourself time and watch yaself grow into the version God intended you to be.

Gena Holden I know exactly how you feel saying your self esteem feels nonexistent because those were all the things I felt when I was in my dark place. We don’t really realize it but we sometimes connect all our value and our self esteem to a single person which can break us in half if that person ends up leaving. And I didn’t realize how much I depended on others to give me value and how much of an empty well it was. My advice to you, Their rejection is God’s protection. I promise you this is not the end for you. Put yourself around the right people that can help you heal. If you know spiritual people or just people with a good head on their shoulders, Be around them and soak in any advice or guidance they have. You don’t have to face this mountain alone.

You may have believed they were perfect but they have just shown you something they always hid since the beginning, you and I both have built up a perfect version of them in our heads and that's who we are missing and that's who we need to get over one bit at a time. My advice is find a group of friends that will help you out if possible, and if that is possible, just talk to them all about it. It helps to get everything out. Don't be afraid to cry cause it is unhealthy to hold that in, as it adds to the stress, and we all know stress is very unhealthy for your physical body

Not going to lie...seeing my ex moving on two weeks later with one of the people they cheated on me with and go out to the same place I introduced him to has to be one of the most hurtful things I've ever experienced. Bumping into them at my favourite place really crushed me and I don't understand why they would do that knowing I go there every weekend. The lack of compassion a person who no longer loves you has is out of this world. It leaves you feeling unwanted, unloveable, ugly and your whole self esteem is destroyed. I am a mess but I hope I get through this and that in a few months come back to this comment and see how far I've come. EDIT: Still tough sometimes tbh because I still bump into the person he cheated on me with and sometimes I can’t resist the urge of looking them up online and wondering what they have that I didn’t have. I’m way better than when I wrote the comment though I won’t lie heeey. I was in a really dark valley back then; I wasn’t eating, sleeping and was about to start a new job which I didn’t have the energy for. Every morning on my way to work he’d be all I’m thinking about. He recently came back into my life talking about how he’s sorry and he realised I’m his soulmate. I was happy to hear that and let him back in. Until two weeks ago when I woke up one morning and I realised he hasn’t changed a bit. He still gaslights and lies to me. I also realised that when he came back into my life I was really happy …like his texts about wanting me back changed my mood. I was starting to eat, go out and sleep. I hated that because why did he need to text me before I could be happy? I’ve given another person so much power that my happiness depended on him. I don’t like that. I’m really just working on forgiving and falling in love with my self. Most importantly treating myself like someone I love. UPDATE: 18 May 2023 Hi guys, I’ve been avoiding making an update because honestly a part of me still feels bad that I haven’t completely healed. Don’t get me wrong I am not crying over them or even want them back but I lost and endured so much that I can’t believe I allowed all that to happen. It stings when I think about some things such as, breaking a few of my expensive stuff (e.g. a new iPhone 13 Pro Max) because of emotional meltdowns I saw them with the person they cheated on me with. Like I seriously can’t believe that happen to me. I can’t believe I drank alcohol that much during and after the relationship ended…like almost every day because I was avoiding feeling anything. There was a time I couldn’t stand being by myself or even looking at myself in the mirror. There was a time I would go to the club and drink by myself or invite lots of friends to have a drink with me just because I feared my inner thoughts and what I might end up doing to myself. Love…what a concept. Anyway, earlier this year I went back to my ex and fell for all the BS again. He had not changed…the same old narcissistic behaviour where he’s not sure if we’re meant to be together and when I try to move on he tells me that he loves and we belong together. The difference about this time I was aware that I was not necessarily in love with him but the idea of being with him so it became pretty clear that he was obsessed with how I loved him and that he had never been loved like that so he didn’t want to let go but was not willing to put in the work or make effort. Lol I even showed him the original comment I made on here and he just read it and continued with life. I planned for us to spend Valentines Day together but he was nowhere to be found. I remember this one specific time we were talking while they were planning the piano…the atmosphere was sad in the room (well at least from my view and the piano wasn’t helping). I’m over there pouring my heart out, in tears and them saying he thinks we should let go of each other. I say I respect that and will work on myself and heal from the breakup…fast forward to them saying a few minutes later “maybe we should try again but I’m scared of hurting you”. I don’t think I could articulate it into words how watching someone play with your emotions with no care at all feels like. I’d just look at them and ask myself why this person has power over me like it’s been 6 months since the breakup I was okay in December and early January now what’s this ???!! He would hang up on me when I called and tell me to stop calling at night, I’d find text exchanges between them and multiple other people where they tell them the words like “I love you” or even talk to on a daily basis when he’d only call me maybe 3 times a week if he doesn’t forget or misses me and the call would be like 5 minutes long if I’m lucky. They were literally talking to if not sleeping with someone in their 40s…how was I in my early 20s going to compete with that??? Lol, it’s not funny but it is. The last time I saw him we decided to make things official and give the relationship another try… I have never heard from him since that day he left my house on the morning of the 25th of February 2023. I contacted them a few weeks ago and informed him I left his clothes with the security at his place. He texted back “I love you”….lol 2 months later after going AWOL. I blocked him and moved on. I’m sorry if my update is not as uplifting as you would have hoped it would be. What I have learned so far though is to be patient and give myself as much time as I need to heal. I wish I had listened to the 1000000 KZbin videos that talked about the “No Contact” rule. I think that would have definitely helped and I would have moved on a long time ago. Having a support system could’ve helped earlier on maybe idk but heey I made it here by myself without friends even. In conclusion, life and love has been unkind but I’m grateful that I am still standing and able to have happy moments throughout my day. Please try to appreciate those small happy moments and take care guys. 🫶🏽 14/10/2024…I gave love another chance but I just found out that I got cheated again. I have no words.

Brother to brother. I feel your pain. But it’s not the pain you think it is. It’s growing pains. My ex was borderline and I fell into the whole love at first sight. After five break ups, multiple “new boyfriends” that made her so happy after me, I’ve learned that she will never be happy. Instead, I’m going to find my happiness wether it’s with another person, hobbies, my work, or just life in general. Love yourself, and when you least expect it, the right woman will enter your life, and it will all make sense. Love you like the brothers we are

Ive been through this. I just have to say. Take your time. The fact that it hurst so much, means that you gave all your heart and soul and that is something you should always be proud of. You took a risk. It didn't pan out. It will take time. It took me at least a year to date someone, and after that I just wanted to be alone and grow as a person and succed by myself. It's been 6 years now. I'm glad I took my time to giref, to be with myslef, to grow. I'm glad I didn't try and make people confortable by having fun or looking for a hook up. I did what felt right to ME. All I have to say, is keep growing, take your time to feel what you are feeling and NEVER LET YPURSELF BECOME BITTER. That's when you loose. When you forgo to become bitter, a better life awaits you.

@omfgwtfbbq90 Жыл бұрын
@@dmakepeacenotwar7114 Yes, in my ex's head she also was thinking about leaving months before telling me, they start moving on way sooner than we realize, that's why it takes us guys so long to get over it. Anyway after a while we started talking again after my anger calmed down, but apparently I found out she sucked some guy off in the car (2x in a row) that she knew from her childhood and he made her cum with her vibrator 5x and she was satisfied for a week, that hit my ego because even if she came 3 times with me she wanted the next day again and again... So I don't know what is up with that. I guess rebound sex can get a lot of things off your mind. You should try it. I haven't because there's no one like that for me. Besides women can easily get a man, doesn't work that well the other way around unfortunately for us guys. It's the sad world we live in... Anyway I feel like she really moved on and really doesn't wanna go back even tho I really have changed for the better and she knows this. The last few days when we were still together and she told me she'd move out, she noticed I was different, better. But that still wasn't enough. She just doesn't see me like the man I once was. And me chasing her is only making me feel miserable and shit all over again. Just don't do it. There's so little chance she'll get back to you. Just accept it and move on, I know it's hard! Yesterday I tried this "Mystie Mai - Getting Over Your Ex JOI" it really helped. You basically sexualize your sadness and hurt and anger and think about it while orgasming to another woman. We're sexual creatures, so therefore it's best to sexually get all of the sadness out. I thought what is this strange stuff, but it felt so much better afterwards. I guess if no rebound sex is available, that's probably the best advice I could give you. It worked for me at least, but I know everyone is different. Go talk to friends, family, get new hobbies. Get a dog or a cat, something to keep you busy off the thoughts. Maybe go to the gym if you have the energy. Stay strong bro. Things can only get better if they're at their worst!

He wants to separate and i am just still in so much love, not knowing how it all went to this? Is there someone? Was it all me like he says (he said he felt trapped with me and blamed everything on me after 7 years and said he was never happy) i actually dnt know. Hmmm I agree that it hurts, but when someone moves on after 4-5 months that's not really treating their ex "like trash". In fact, I think cheating would be way worse... mental or physical or emotional abuse would be way worse... neglectful or controlling behavior is way worse... Moving on fast can be hurtful for the other ex, for sure, but it doesn't mean you're treated badly. After all, once you break up the other person is free to live their life.

Your soul mate would have never done the things to hurt you that your ex did. So, you aren't losing much. Be glad that you got that poser out of your life. And, have some sympathy for the next poor person who gets involved with them. Thank you Matt ❤

@ them not waiting for you and deciding on another person because you needed more time for whatever reason... did hurt you. it still applies, they weren't the one.
@ninjacat5084 жыл бұрын
Gena Holden, Just take it as a lesson learned. Look really hard at the reasons you had him wait. Ask yourself, "would anyone have done things differently in my position at that time"? We don't know what your situation was but there are tons of valid reasons ... school, age, personal financial concerns, family obligations etc... Or were your reasons for waiting due to youthful immaturity? Who isn't guilty if that? By the way, what exactly is to long? Some people consider a year to long. Others consider a year not nearly long enough.
@xoz--4 жыл бұрын
@ well, try to think about it like this: why did you need time? maybe a part of you instinctively knew he wasn't right for you from the start. so you made him wait, and then he moved on. but why do you blame yourself for not being able to choose him quicker? i don't believe that's your fault. i think you knew way before what kind of person you want to love. so don't second guess yourself and what the past version of you had to decide. other than that, your ego that has taken the hit. you wanted to wait to be together- meaning you were both still alone all that time. and now you're hurting because he's stopped waiting. but nothing really changed in your world. you didn't experience him as your partner, you don't know what it's like to put the work of a relationship in with him, you only got used to him waiting for you to have that. it's definitely a valid reason to mourn and be disappointed over- something that could've happened. but are you hurt that you lost him because you "could have" had some great love with him or are you hurt that he's able to move on from you? i know it's hurtful to see him with someone else when you were probably getting ready to bring him into your vulnerable space. now you have to do the mental work again of getting rid of the idealisation in your head after all this build up. but you truly have not lost anything worth having. and you already knew that before he got engaged.
@xoz--4 жыл бұрын
@ i can relate to how you feel, which is why i can say with certainty that you have a kind heart for the way you've spoken about him and taken the blame even though he has definitely hurt you with his actions. he is evidently a big lesson for you to learn from. to hear that he's gotten engaged so quick, obviously means he rushes into relationships, and he probably wanted to do the same with you. you held your ground because you understand yourself and your standards and now as he's gone and you have no one waiting for you on the other side, you question whether you should have given him what he wanted so you wouldn't have ended up in this situation. but there's no such thing as making a decision that forces the other person to hurt you. you didn't do anything to yourself. you dodged a bullet. if he wanted to be engaged so badly, and you knew you couldn't give that to him, or whatever else he was pining over, that's you freeing him and that's a gift. sometimes, there's no escape from men who try to look for a perfect woman who will do everything on their timing, but experiencing him is gonna help get rid of someone like him from your life quicker next time. he wasn't the one and i seriously doubt he would've been as amazing to you as you want to believe. i hope you find the positive in this outcome and wish you healing and happiness.

We had a great time together, I can’t say it was my biggest love of my life, but I was happy. And she didn’t just move on fast, she dumped me cuz “she fell in love with other” and see this through text just instantly killed me. It is also just 2 days before my birthday, so yeah, its rough. I can’t say I really cried, but I felt really sick. But after I watched this video, when you said “I don’t want to see that Roy, I want to see Roy that went through hell” actually made me cry like a little girl, cuz I instantly heard my name, instead Roy’s, like you also talked to me directly . Thank you, I hope you right, I really hope someone really waiting me there

@@uruk2023 Life is hell, most of us are just sheltered from it for a while, and the hell gives purpose and meaning to joy. Embrace the pain and pleasure together and life becomes easier. We are creatures that are designed for struggle when we embrace it.

Kristopher Foster nah, i’ve lost attraction for a guy that has been lying to me abt how he felt. It depends in who you are dating, for me personally, i hate it when anyone has to hide how they fell, the relationship never lasts. For me, if a person is who I love then i will stand by their side, but ofcourse they have to gonna wanna understand and want to be helped. The mature way is to feel it, then get back up on your feet. Not hide it and pretend it never happened. Healing is ok, hiding is not. Theres no point of a relationship if none can open up

Cudos to him and anyone who’s not afraid to stand up and be vulnerable and be themselves. I really do wish him the best! Thank you, Matthew for helping this gentleman out. someone moving on too first can be very hurtful, but a blessing in disguise. Also Some people are with you just to pass time until they get who they want...
@allegrageller93084 жыл бұрын
Exactly! People need to examine the quality of the relationship they had with the person and stop trying to micromanage what they do after they dump you. I think holding onto someone who clearly doesn't want you is a mistake and can keep you from getting what is meant for you.

My fiance left me last week after 5 years. Very suddenly, on the phone while she was at work on her lunch break. I had to move to the projects cause it's all I could afford, left my cat with her and a lot of memories that convinced me she was "the one". I'm 33 years old, I'm still in shock and sad, just spent my first night in this apartment and it feels so weird. But watching this video, gave me that little push forward. So thank you, and much gratitude and love from Australia 🙌🏾

Official Shaun Williams Hey brotha, can’t imagine the pain you’re going through right now. I hope and pray that things do eventually work our for you. I truly believe things happen for a reason and that eventually, things will work out the way they are suppose to. Take it one day at a time and I promise you things get better. It’s been 8 months for me and I can tell you I’ve been through every emotion possible. I was with my ex for 3.5 years and I thought she was the one however, some people just don’t turn out to be who they are. I know what it’s like to live in the same day over and over and over. Some nights id wake up and just couldn’t go back to sleep. I’ve realized that they’re are good and bad people out there with different upbringings and personalities and we cannot expect everyone to be like us. That’s why it is important to focus on who you are and what you stand for before you let anyone else into your life. Take this time to revaluate your life and start to build a solid foundation in who you are as a person. I promise you will come out of this with a better outlook and perspective in life with a ton of experience. You’re only 33 years young brotha and the world is what you make of it. Keep the faith and please never give up. I haven’t told anyone but few weeks before my ex gf left me I was diagnosed with depression and was suppose to start on my meds but instead, I turned to my faith again. I would highly recommend you read the book of proverbs, the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible brother. Read with a open mind and a open heart. Long story short I did not see a psychiatrist, didn’t start the meds and turned back to my faith. I began to build a foundation in my relationship with Christ and he has truly brought me out of the darkness and into the light. If you’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked for you- I humbly ask you before you go to bed, kneel and just close your eyes and open your heart. Call out to Jesus and just let everything out. He loves you brother and he will never leave you nor forsake you. Put your trust in no man but him alone. Remember it is a journey in itself and it’s a relationship also which needs daily nourishment. We all fall short of his glory but we do our best everyday to seek his kingdom. My love and prayers for you on your journey 🙏🏽
