It's so easy to forget the purpose of the car and apply a street car or different type of racing car logic to a drag car. For someone other applications, this excessive length of the charge pipes would matter and increase the turbo lag. But when you are on the transmission break and 2/3 step with the engine this powerful, it doesn't matter at all. You are never in the rpm range that has issues. Still, I like the looks of reversed intake and charge pipes on the firewall. It is impossible with this intake and this firewall that went forward to accommodate the giraffe 😊 Length and steppup in the tube size might even cool off the compressed air a bit despite methanol not needing the intercooler effect. Anyhow, the Eagle project is getting closer and closer. Despite the nice tempo, Cleetus fans (me included) can't wait for it to hit the dyno and the drag strip. For us, everything is too slow, even if it would have happened yesterday 😊

If you use a bandage wrap on the boost pipe it should lower the temperature near the tyre. If you use a coolant cooled turbo and an high pressure oil pump the turbo will be fine.

I have a question please! Admittedly I'm just beginning to learn about many of the aspects here, so please excuse my ignorance. What's the advantage/benefit of having the turbo outlets be 3.5in, going to a 4in throttle body? Doesn't that small-to-large pipe mean pressure drops? Surely if anything you'd want it the other way round so you're kind of blowing through a straw and the pressure increases? Wouldn't that a performance benefit and sort of a free pressure boost? Thanks very much if anyone can set me straight and loving this content. The work everyone at CJRC is doing is phenominal and the videos are excellent. I'm hooked!
