Thanks so much for this video. Did my CBT a couple of days ago and it went well, but I don’t think my instructor explained the lifesaver as clearly and logically. This really helped me to process the actual real life experience I had where I came away feeling I had good control of the bike, but not so great in terms of general road awareness.

I'm 15 atm but will be 16 in March I can apply for my provisional this week but I'm already looking ahead at what bikes I can get .... I've been looking at the lexmoto aspire 50cc and was wondering if I could do my cbt training on that specific bike ?

Hi. Once you are 16, if you plan on buying a bike before you take the CBT, the Aspire 50 would be ideal.

I'm 51 just got a old moped to practise on. Can turn the bike and do good u turns to the left. But turning to the right it all goes to crap. At slow speed. As left feels natural, doing turns to right I feel im fighting it. Any tips??????

It's that on roads or on flat ground like a car park? The road was a curve called the camber, where the road is flat in the middle but the sides are lower. It helps with water when it's raining, the rain water flows to the sides. This can mean you're in the middle of your side of the road, but the road is falling slightly left, so if you turned the left you're going with gravity and it feels easy to turn the left. But when you turn to the right, you're actually going slightly uphill, and you're turning against the curve so you're going to be fighting the curve and gravity which is probably why it feels more difficult. Have you tried turning on flat ground like a car park? I suggest you try turning on flat ground and see if the problem goes away. If you have the same problems on flat ground as you do on the curved road then maybe it's something to do with the bike. Just in case there's something wrong with the old moped I would advise bringing it to a garage and explaining what you're feeling. Hope this helps.

Hi, Most places tend to charge around £100-£120 but that's going to vary with areas. Best bet is to contact your local training school to discuss.

He's a very nice instructor. Explains it really well. He's the sort of person where you genuinely feel you can ask questions without feeling like it's a silly question. Where if I had just passed my CBT I'd ask him advise about a bike, clothing etc and I would trust him. When you're completely new to motorcycles there's a lot to learn such as helmets, gloves, clothing, and even tyres. If he's in that shop, and I'm not too far from that area, them I'm going to see him and ask what he thinks. And I'm probably going to buy from them if they have what I'm thinking of getting. "It's raining. Is there something you recommend? I've seen these plastic rubber over jackets and trousers, what do you think and do you have any in my price range?" That type of thing. He's good for a shop.
