@@jerrywhite2390 hey Jerry, thanks for replying. As someone who is curious, yet unfamiliar, with the aviation industry, the day in the life pieces pique my interest most. You do a great job with those. I don’t know if this too personal of a question to ask, but I guess I’m most curious as to how this job balances with your life outside of work. I remember you mentioning something about coming from one of your kids basketball games, is it hard to balance the job with the family and all? I’m a UPS driver and this time of year I end up spending more time inside my package car as opposed to being home (although with COVID it’s been like peak season all year round). Somehow, my wife and I make it work, but It’s not easy. Curious to hear how you make it work with your job schedule. Thanks again for the awesome videos man!
@jerrywhite23903 жыл бұрын
@@katpyss hey, thanks for the question. This job is very tough on families. I have missed more birthdays, more sports events, several anniversaries., etc of my family. There are times that because of that, I truly HATE the job. I will say this, that when I am home, I truly try to be "HOME" and engaged. I try to support my wife when I'm home and not home in anything she needs to get through a rotation. On this job, it truly takes a team to make it work. If my wife was supportive, then it just would work (nor be worth it to me).

We really dont - in charter, it's a lot of "drop'em off and go" although we have flown A-list celebs who are generally really nice. The wheelhouse on the yachts now look like a bigger version of a jet, five large MFD's with weather and radar overlays and many old school instruments. Hey Jerry love to see the day to day operations . I think I would need closed captions to understand what the tower is saying over that radio! How much more for a family of 4 to travel like this compared to commercial? Is it feasible? Thanks Eric

Ok will do that on one of the next ones. The thing about this type of flying, is it is not charged per seat - you buy one seat, you bought 13 seats. This plane is about $6,500 an hour.
