This is a long day in the life of a charter Pilot

Join ‪@jerrywhite2390‬ and #pilotlife7 crew as they grind out a long day of flying 4 legs across the east coast and the Caribbean. Think you have what it takes to be a charter pilot? Sure anyone can fly these things, but can you keep a wicket sense of humor, while battle delays, international customs, fatigue and weather? Come along in the 4th video of the series of "A day in the life" and the "Real Life of Being a Pilot".
COMMON QUESTIONS:
What kinda of aircraft is this? This is a Legacy 600 aircraft.
How many days do you work, then how many days do you get off? We worked an 10 day on the road and 8 days off.
Why aren't you a "commercial pilot"? I have been an airline pilot in the past, as well as a pilot for an individual company/person. Charter is like airline flying in that the "general public" rents the pilots, the flight attendants and the crew for their trip. There is good and bad to all types of flying in my opinion.
Why does the first officer have 4 stripes, isn't that a captain thing? The first offices (co-pilots) at this company where 4 stripes. It's a company thing, although Brody, the First Officer in this video, was pretty much ready to upgrade.
How many celebrities have you flown? Plenty - but we cant and don't talk about who we've flown. So sorry.
Do you still work for this company? Unfortunately no, the company closed down. Jerry is always looking for a great company to work for.
Why cant we hear the audio from the tower better? Because the audio interface on this particular day did not work. Trust me, I know it would have been better.
Why is the cockpit door open? In charter, the flight door can be left open. It's not a big deal at all.

@@jimbob100-d3l I really, really enjoy 135 and 91 (corporate flying) much more than airline . . . bus driver vs limo driver. I really like the interaction with passengers, and feel you get treated better while on the road (get to keep all the hotel points, don't have to beg for a ride on an airliner to get to work . . . Dont commute on a day off, etc). Airlines are nice because you just show up, do the job, dont really care about much, and move on.

Could you do something on what an average month looks like for the crew? How many duty days versus off days? It seems like a single persons profession. True? Is there very much crew turnover? Great video! Had long days like this crewing the H-60 moving pax all over Afganiland. Had several days the rotor blades didn't stop turning for 10+ hours. Wears ya out, but love everything about it. Working on my ratings and time building now to keep the flying party going after the Army.

in the states on the private FBO side, we dont wear the vest . . . there is generally not that much ground traffic around, and our clients dont like seeing their flight crews in them.

What does the pilot do when there’s no flight attendant? Bartend? Pass out peanuts? Make more coffee? Just curious what that aspect entails in corporate aviation.
