Getting a Concussion on TMB Trail! First Time Riding From the Top

Sierra and I had a blast hitting TMB from the top for the first time. Unfortunately I pegged my head super f***ing hard on a rock at the bottom and am not quite feeling right. Having Sierra keep a close eye on me tonight on account of it. All in all still a really good time though. Thanks for watching, like + subscribe!

Still feeling the effects of this today (Wednesday) and this video was Saturday! Still a bit dizzy and tired and slight head pressure. Definitely no more videos for next 1-2 weeks which gives me time to buy a new helmet.

thanks. Still feeling concussed (motion sick/dizzy) and this happened on Saturday! But I'm able to sleep better the last 2 nights at least and am mentally fairly clear

I've hit lower Tmb including the doubles so I'm excited to link the top section with the bottom for sure. Just took a dumb line because I never do that one rock garden

That made me flinch. The adrenaline is intense in these situations, it's instinct to get up and move around, or if on a motorcycle try to pick up the bike. I've been in similar situations and upon reflection I should've relaxed and took a breather. I would probably take a week off from riding after a hit like that.

Yeah I'm gonna take at least a week if not 2, I'm still feeling concussion symptoms and this happened saturday! Need time to buy a new helmet anyways. And yeah at the time I didn't realize how hard I hit my head, I only realized after I watched the video on my gopro!

Thanks. Still waiting for it to feel better. Seeing doctor again Monday. It's been close to 4 weeks, was feeling better for a few days but the symptoms are back strong. Doctor said there's a cumulative effect with previous concussions

@@EJOpdahl man, that stinks hope you feel better soon. Omega 3 fatty acids like fish oil have been shown to help along with reducing omega 6 fatty acids.

Sorry about that bro. I don't know exactly how tired you were when it happened, but if you ever feel winded or tired enough that your think your control over the bike's movement or line is affected, be extra careful. At that point you need to give 110% to mental focus and grit in controlling the bike regardless of the situation. Don't push too far though. Stay safe.

Thanks. Yeah I think I was just overconfident, I've only hit that rock garden once a long time ago, and thought I would remember it. The line I took was trash and there was just no way to abort with that giant rock at the end. But I know what you're saying, sometimes fatigue plays a really big role in these things too.

"if you ever feel winded or tired enough that your think your control over the bike's movement or line is affected" you should pull over and take a break instead of riding. You should be at your optimal mental state when riding trails like these.
