The way the two of you look at one another while the other is talking is so special. You can literally see and feel the love and respect emanating from each of you as you sit next to eachother and listen to what the other has to say. I know it probably sounds corny, but I don't care; I GENUINELY mean it. You two are so young, and have already experienced such adversity; yet the grace that you show not only to eachother, but also take the time to show to everyone following your journey, is truly inspiring. You guys are TOP NOTCH human beings, and you honestly restore my faith in humanity.

I am not a doctor, and your needs are unique in and of it's self, just wondering if you drink Cranberry juice to help you with your infections? It can't hurt because it is something we all can drink unless you are allergic to Cranberries. Also, being in a boat where I, myself, have a rare condition. I have tried Acupuncture for pain and it really does help, however, I have learned for me that I can't have Acupuncture for me any more because dizziness is a possible side effects and every time I get Acupuncture, it makes me dizzy--didn't know until after the treatment BUT it did help me a lot with my pain. Also, (again, I am not a doctor) I wonder if you could strengthen your amune system BEFORE your surgery. It concerns me that Antibiotics are over prescribed. If a person has antibiotics frequently because of infection, the person can become Anti-biotic resistant-- I am Antibiotics resistant because of UTIs. Perhaps a Natural-path doc could help you there a bit more... plus there are NO side effects. It takes a while sometimes for the hebs and natural treatments to kick in sometimes but so do phamasudicals. I will warn you, because the docs that work in hospitals, DO NOT have any or little knowledge of healing the body through herbs, they will not be able to recommend anything except phamasudicals because those docs did not study how to treat a patient with herbs, food and other natural plants. Docs only study this 1-3 hours in all that they have studied. Hence, legally "regular docs" are not certified in natural treatments only phamasudicals. There is a long explanation for this but the bottom line is money. If you are able to find an excellent Naturalpath, they can help you especially in better avoiding Antibiotics so the Anti-biotics can be used very sparenly. Just some other avenues to look into if you would like. Also, there is room for Naturalpaths AND Surgeons and other types of procedures and medicical practices. THE MOST important thing is to take charge of your own health AND deicide whatever is best for you and your situation. Docs don't have all the answers but you can find what you need by asking detailed questions AND doing your own research. The long one has a condition or is sick, the more the ones with medical conditions need to explore ALL their options and have them explained in vast detail.

@@kathleenpetty1926 I'm sure his doctors are treating him appropriately considering his complexities. I understand why you are suggesting a naturopath, but that really is not appropriate considering how unstable his health is at the moment. He is such a rare case, he may never be 100% stable. Let's let his health and pain reach a level where everything is properly controlled before we start suggesting alternative medicine. 👍

I have a urostomy and also had a colostomy for about a year. My husband had an ileostomy. The Urostomy is easy to manage. You need to know that your Urostomy stoma works/dribbles constantly. This varies from person to person. I empty my bag every couple of hours. You need to drink 2 to 3 litres a day. At night you attach a tube to your bag with a larger bag on the end, usually a 2 litre one. So the bag on your abdomen stays empty as the urine drains into the larger bag. In the morning you detach and dispose of the drainage bag. Wishing you all the best x PS your doctor sounds great. He’s explaining things very well.

It’s always great for people that have experience with these issues to reassure those who are just starting. First hand knowledge is always best. Thanks for sharing. Be blessed!
@juliemama3 жыл бұрын
Also because the urine stoma is comprised of intestinal tissue which naturally exudes mucus and "lubricant" for digestion, the urine collection bags can have whitish "floaties" that look sort of snotty/goopy and sometimes that stuff collects around the stoma but it's normal. (I don't have a urostomy but I'm a home care aide in WA for a woman who has one.) :)

Our 7 year old just had surgery for a urostomy. He only has 1 kidney and no bladder. His urine used to drain into a diaper. His first ureterostomy was too low to fit an ostomy bag. He loves the bag and knows how to empty it himself. This has made him feel more like your average 7 year old. At night we hook him up to a drainage bag that hangs next to his bed. The bag holds 2000ml of fluid. So far so good!! I believe this surgery will change things for the better for you. God bless you both!

My "family" is exactly the same way, if anything like what happened to Loren, ever happened to me, I'd probably end up committing the big 'S' cuz, I wouldn't have a Sabia, or 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 so, I'd probably end up in some institution where, I'd be lucky to even have just my most basic needs met (if that) no kind of love or support or, even companionship of any kind (pretty much like now except, I'm (𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮!) not in an institution and, I do have legs although, they're very weak and, cause me a great deal of pain, 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚). The love that they have is what makes 𝘼𝙇𝙇 the difference in the 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚! With love like that, it gives you the strength and the will to endure, even overcome, life's most challenging circumstances! Even the most painful and difficult curve balls life can throw your way! Imagine if Sabia had left him when this happened! Of course we all know Sabia is 𝙣𝙤𝙩 that kind of person! But, if she had done that, Loren's situation would be much more traumatic indeed! And, he wouldn't have had the love and support that has kept his spirits up and his state of mind so healthy and positive which, has been an 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙨 catalyst in his healing process. 💜 I'm envious of what they have and, I would trade the entire bottom half of my own body to be loved like that! By 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚! Just like Loren said at the very beginning of all this, I wouldn't mind if i was just a head on a plate if someone loved me the way they love each other, that's ALL you need in this cold cruel world, 𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 when you don't have it! I have actually been jealous of people dying of cancer, simply because they were surrounded by family and, people who love them dearly! Even people in war torn countries, or suffering with famine and disease in third world countries, I have actually looked upon with jealousy and envy, cuz they are always surrounded by large, close knit families and, community that stick together and, support one another through the most difficult and challenging circumstances life can throw at you. Love conquers ALL! 💜 I would trade places with Loren in a 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙏𝘽𝙀𝘼𝙏!!!! BUT, then again I wouldn't cuz, I wouldn't wish my situation on 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚. (I really do exist in extreme solitary isolation! I'm alone 99.9% of the time)

@@mrsdahmer8 Hi again 😄…yes I came back to tell you that God does not hate your guts; please don’t think that way … He loves you , He truly does . The reason He’s not responding is because of your unbelief or lack of faith. I’m going to explain about how sin made its way into this world from a biblical perspective. It all began with Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis chapter 3. Since they both sin against God , sadly, we all mankind have fallen short of the Glory of God and inherited the original sin nature and that is why we are all sinners from birth. Nihilistie , it is necessary to have a contrite heart and also to be transparent, in other words to be sincere and honest to God. Either way He knows it all , there is nothing hidden from Him. It’s important to humble yourself and ask for His forgiveness, then invite His son Jesus into your heart, why not ? You have nothing to lose. Then , you can be assured that He WILL hear your prayers , but please be patient and persistent…He will move in your situation and gradually things will start to change in your life for the better 🕊Amen!!

This situation is SO far above most people’s heads it’s dizzying. There simply aren’t adequate words! And trying to force “advice” in whatever form it may take is (borderline) insulting. I agree with you 100%... offer support and encouragement, ask intelligent and thoughtful questions, and stay far away from comments about legal and highly personal issues! Actually this all sounds very positive for you, Loren, and the Drs. have had several conferring meetings to cover every last deet and as many what ifs as they possibly can. Sending my love to you two, prayers, and positive vibes as well for BOTH of you. I want to thank you also, for sharing your journey and want y'all to know the magnitudes of people you're helping without even realizing it. My husband is getting put on the kidney donor list, he also has Crohns, and your video has helped us sooo much. Right place, right time, God's got us all. You have a challenging journey that has, is, and always should be an inspiration to everyone, no matter their situations. Hugs to you both ♥️ Sabia, I somehow think I need to thank you for making sure the videos get done, and posted. Please do take some "Me Time", if you need it to recharge, get your thoughts together, or whatever to continue to be your smiling, supportive, informed, and loving self.

I went to Disneyworld last weekend and met a man working there everything amputated from the waste down like Loren. He was alot older like in his 40's or 50's and seemed in very good spirit and shape. Then I saw a customer that was the same. So I know Loren will still be able to have a great life and eventually be able to work and travel. Maybe with just a little caution,but its possible and gave me so much hope for Loren after seeing those 2 men.
