Near my grandparents house, there was a community centre that had a little internet area in the late 90s. On one of those computers was WC3. I had WC3 at home, but one rainy day where I wanted to play video games I wandered in and fired up Beyond the Dark Portal's human campaign. That led to one of my favourite memories in gaming, where I basically speed-ran the campaign while other nerdy kids just gaped in awe at my WC2 skills. Good times.

@brentfriendshuh1852 the AI will glitch out in a couple ways. Such as stop building or never send attack waves while still producing. You have to click restart misson to avoid it

Just a friendly reminder that both times we, the player, are introduced to Gromm Hellscream ( first in Warcraft 2, then again in Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos), he is imprisoned or captured, in need of saving. Did no one in the various Orc clans ever question whether this guy was fit to be Warchief? He can’t seem to stay uncaptured for very long… 😂

He's also imprisoned in a soul gem at ths end of the orc campaign And after he is freed, he basically immidiately dies

i've been ripping out my nose hairs since i was in high school. i have tried the trimmer Sean is talking about at 52:00 and i HATE the inner nose stubble. the nose hair pulling really isn't painful, you just pull them out like 10 at a time. pulling ONE hair does hurt

I remember the expansion missions being a lot more difficult a lot quicker. Especially ones in where you have to keep heroes alive.. I recall Teron Gorefiend (that yellow dk) died on me from a single exorcism from an enemy paladin that zipped into my base on a mission. Like wth man, low blow.

As a producer and PM I have never been called out so hard in my life. For real though, there are too many PMs in many projects (1 per 4 projects, and a product manager for the whole thing) and YES the VARIANCE IS REAL oh my god.

Scavengers Reign is like one of those imaginative alien artbooks that Curious Archive/kids at libraries/car rides love. A fresh idea in every scene. Btw, you should make My Life Of StarCraft into a text which represents your enduring thoughts on what it was and could have been and may yet inspire. Everyone would love you to dev, lest a unique avenue of invention be untapped, but your thoughts are, enough. Make like a guru and write it down, for you.

I remember giving up on Beyond the Dark Portal pretty early on. The enemy just didn't give me any opportunity to build up an army and I got burned out.

Yeah the BtDP campaign missions have enemy AI that ramps up HARD, but it also usually gives you enough units to (if you know what you're doing) cripple or sometimes eliminate at least one opponent outright. There are several examples of missions in which there's at least one random AI player that starts with basically nothing but a town hall, but you probably aren't going to find them unless you either know the map layout ahead of time, play deep and reset, or use a vision cheat.
