Buying wholesale blanks for your apparel line can be a little complicated if you don’t have the right business paperwork and registration in place. In this tutorial I share how you can register your business name, and get your wholesale license, commonly referred to as a Resale Certificate, so you can purchase from major brands such as Bella + Canvas and many more.
It all starts with registering your business at the state level, and then filing your Doing Business As Name (fictitious firm name) from there you register with the department of taxation (commonly referred to as the Board of Equalization) and you are then able to submit a resale certificate to many wholesale manufacturers or distributors.

You can always expand the line into accessories or other items you don’t design to compliment your line. Also buying fabrics and supplies, large suppliers will ask for it.

There are pros and cons to both options! if you are looking to create one-offs to test market a design but don't have the money to DTG and just one to create a sample you can heat transfer. But if you want the screen print look without having to make a full run of shirts DTG is a great option as well to achieve that full-color print.

I’m in Georgia and I think either the system has changed, or we don’t need reseller’s permits here. Seems like the only thing the government really is concerned with is a State tax ID and a sales and use account number so they can track your sales.

Sales Tax ID is the number you'd put on a resell permit. You essentially just download a template for your state (google resell permit Georgia) from there you put your number and now you can buy wholesale from wholesalers. 🙌🏽
