Tried acupuncture before on the last time I fell down. Along with cupping and acupuncture and a lot of rest, my right leg healed completely in a short few weeks. Acupunvture dpes not work for everything but then for me, it works pretty well to heal off anything that had something to do with clotting blood. As someone who did it sometimes for relaxiation, I find it relaxing bur I do recall being petrified at first.

Jar and electrode? Chi? Yeah, quackery is a pretty accurate term. But if the treatments (ill-guided as they may be) do end up making people feel better, whether through the placebo effect or an actual effect from the physical parts, everyone's free to do what they want with their bodies.
@Erinyes2 жыл бұрын
As long as it’s not replacing actual doctors yeah. If modern medicine hasn’t helped you, might as well give these a try if thry can’t harm you

Acupuncture and diet cured my brother's incurable muscle disease... the issue is, it's not a quick fix. Diet can usually get you results pretty fast, but acupuncture can take YEARS for the results you're looking for. Most people don't care for waiting, so they just go to the doctor to try the quick-fixes (which ultimately usually result in other problems).
@ryonalionthunder2 жыл бұрын
Genius, just keep going to a quack until the problem goes away on it's own and credit the quack. If it doesn't go away? You just haven't gone long enough! Weird how that works.
@aero48562 жыл бұрын
@@ryonalionthunder hey, genius, how about you go to a "quack", then get bloodwork done every month as you go to said quack and track the results. If you find someone that actually knows what they're doing, and you have a problem solvable through their methods, you should see results.
@ryonalionthunder2 жыл бұрын
@@aero4856 If that was actually true, why do you suppose it is that none of these quacks have every demonstrated the effectiveness of their treatment in a medical journal? It's one thing to fool some idiot that thinks pins and needles might be magic, but if it doesn't actually work you won't get far when people who actually try to test your methods look at it.

I used to go to acupuncture every week but the person who was doing it for me didn't really talk about chi and stuff, she did help me with my sinusitis though.
@Crustee02 жыл бұрын
All the weird stuff he mention (jar, hammer) is really not needed. While "chi" is debatable, you can indeed just go straight to needle impaling without those weird procedure his doctor did to him. Also its not a one solution for everything, you still need to fix any bad habits in life (diet, exercise, etc). Stimulating the nerve system does help your body recover from what ailment you have, but if you dont fix the source (bad diet, no exercise, etc) you will eventually get those ailments again.
@someone-of1jx2 жыл бұрын

Uh...my mom is a doctor thst specialises in nerves (neurologist) and works with acupunture and i have NEVER seen her do all those crazy stuff you just mentioned, except the nedles and maybe the hammer (but she only uses it to check reflexes and doesn't hit someone with it multiple times) Edit: she also doesn't tell you that you couldn't touch anything made out of the certain nutrients you're suppoed to avoid, that's just stupid
@marcellononame40173 жыл бұрын
Well since your mom is a licensed doctor they would probably use only the methods that work and none of the extras. Since his acupuncture “doctor” used traditional Chinese methods all that extra stuff was applied because that’s how they did it way back when.

I have went to acupuncture and honestly... Its not painful. You dont really feel the needles because theily are super tiny. Best is when they put them in a really taught muscle and they apply heat to them... Feels like someone is telling my muscles to soften up without the beating that a massage would give you... Dont get me wrong a massage is also great but compared to acupuncture it wins with precision. Ofc as long as you dont hate needles and aren't scared of tiny jabs xD

Well sometimes, your body becomes so desperate to prove itself or what it’s heard correct. It may change how it operates just to make something make sense. Not everyone’s body does this, but for example, someone says a noise should make your head hurt. For some people it does give them a headache others don’t. Or if you give someone a pill that does nothing, but list side effects, they may feel the side effects even though the pill really has nothing in it. TLDR. If something doesn’t make sense your body will try to make it make sense.
