I don't know what's cooler... the vintage Seagulls or the SOS Minor Morris, with an almost 'narrow boat' paint decor, or Nick walking off in sailor fashion. Such a neat guy, John is, and a great piece of film you made here. Vital and relevant content. Seagulls made for the Allied Invasion for river navigation and moving pontoon bridges .... wow

Engine replacement great job...You are very creative....

On that engine haul, set it down on the planks, shorten the chains by the 8" it looks like there and hoist again. 20:58 Then when towing the dolly across the plank, where they overlap a bit of 3/4" board at the step to smooth out the inch and a half drop. The same goes for installing the new as it will be a great struggle to move an engine loaded trolly up and over that jump. And a bit of ply to keep the planks from spreading and then sinking in when rolling over the grassy bank But it looks like I'm 18 years too late... lol But then again Nick is an extremely bright guy and maybe there was a perfectly good explain why not

Nice touch dressed up as you leave SOS. He is a great chap, helped me with my Silver Century which turns out to be a bit of a mongrel. Stripped it down, cleaned everything and new fuel and it went third pull. Goes on my Hurley Alacrity. Did a double take on the voice over a few times...

Unfortunately, we have mislaid the final edit of Episode 12, and this was a working tape. Hence Stuart on the voice-over, It might be in the loft......

I see the stuffy git on the electric boat didn't allow your dog on board.

A good, homemade penetrating oil for those rusty bolts & nuts is equal parts automatic transmission fluid & acetone. (Beware of flames or sparks, of course!!) Cute dog, too, "offering encouragement" to his humans...lol.

My homemade easit oil is 20% acetone and 80% vegetable oil works better than WD40,will have to try it with old engine oil as it will be cheaper..

I went with an electric boat around the Amsterdam grachten. That was great fun.

Here in Victoria,Australia,You'd need a motor boat liscence and your dinghy would need to be registered.Oh,i forgot you'd need carry oars, fire extinguisher first aid, life jacket, sigaling device etc.Regardless of whether its a boat or canoe.

I learned to sail on a Sharpie in Rio de Janeiro as a kid in the early 60s. Kiki was her name. She was kept at the Caicaras Club on the Lagoa. Hence, my name here. I, too, am enjoying the Sharpie project. Going to share this channel with my brother. Here is the old Kiki with me holding her off at the bow. www.stirlinglaw.com/cal28/sharpiekiki.jpg
