Have been waiting for an Insym origin story for so long! When me and my friends started playing phasmo one of them recommended me this cool phasmo streamer who was really good at the game. Turns out that 1,5 years later that phasmo streamer is one of my 3 favorite youtubers and my absolute favorite streamer. I cannot get enough and I always look forward for the new uploads. I think the most important thing for video creators is to do things they personally enjoy the most, as that brings out their best energy and attitude, and that's what sells them to viewers, converts the "watches because of what you're doing" into "watches because it's you doing it." That's what keeps me coming back to my favorite creators, anyways.

Few days late here, but the Northbury Grove (Scythe Dev team) devs are pretty cool. They included an Easter egg shout out to my brother's small business, because it takes place a music festival. My brother runs a "general store" called Mr. B's Festival Needs (so if you need candy, tampons, sunscreen, etc - his slogan is "If you forgot it, we brought it!"). In game, he was represented by "Mrs. Tree's Festival Needs." He's since met them in person a few times too! Super cool guys, I was blown away when I realized they made Happy's Humble Burger Farm.

When you started talking about the people that only care about *what* you do instead of *who* you are, I gotta admit. That was me! I just wanted to see your Scrutinized speedruns at first. Then I went back to your Welcome To The Game runs because I didn't have an interest in Phasmo. Then I was just bored one day and. By then I'd already started to get a bit of a liking to your content, and started to check out your Phasmo videos. And I've stuck around since. I remember I first got addicted to Phasmophobia, so I was watching EVERY Video available on KZbin Germany. I got so annoyed when someone didn't understand something I figured out ages ago. Then your channel was introduced on my "suggested" list and I first didn't like it at all. speaking of people getting fired from jobs in the U.S.....my company uses a system known as paycor to keep track of your work time and points (or times you've missed work) and it messed up without our employers telling us and everyone was lead to think that they got points back and started missing work for things they had to take care of, because by the system we use they had the points to use to do that, but then the system was working and those people never lost they're points so on top of what they already had the points they used when they thought they had points to use stacked on top of what they already had and they all got fired....even though we were already short handed to begin with...USA USA USA what a great place to live

Ahh good ol Lobos. classic dark souls runs for sure. And wow, grats on your first successful videos with scrutinize and such! I should watch them. Been on a my list for a few now but I end up watching recent uploads lol. edit: you know, on the topic of others having recommended games to you. Here is one I think you would enjoy. Not sure how well a fit it will be to the channel, or streaming. But the gameplay is top notch. Story is... eh? best ignored IMO. Everhood is like a bullet hell/rythm game with some very challenging achievements.

This is a few months old, but I live in the United States and many years ago my mom worked the front desk at a hotel. One night she got robbed at gunpoint; while management didn't technically fire her, they told her that she "failed at protecting company property" and wouldn't schedule her for work, so she was forced to get a new job and quit that one.

It's crazy to hear about the workers rights. At my job they can fire you on the spot, they are not required to give you breaks (meaning I have worked 14 hour shifts without any break whatsoever, not even 15 minutes to eat), and you have to work a year before you get a week off (and even then you only get paid what you worked on average the past 6 months so if you worked 32 hours a week on average you'd only get paid 32 hours).

I actually REALLY enjoyed the chill discussion and hearing all about your journey into streaming. So many interesting points and great advice. Also here in New Zealand our contracts and employment agreements sound exactly the same as the Netherlands, that's absolutely wild that it's not a thing in the US really. I've been through a number of redundancies/restructures where they have to pay people like three months of their salary if they lose their job. I also know from talking to managers that firing someone is REALLY difficult, it takes a lot for it to actually happen and there's usually extra steps you have to do beforehand such as performance managing them or bringing in mediators to resolve conflicts. Crazy how that's not the norm.
