Before this, I have only known about the cleaning motivation channel and I found this channel and I have fallen in love with Bobby and the love he is showing for his family and his grandma! Wow! The one thing that I think that could help her in the shower would be a couple grab bars to 1. help her stand up from the bench and 2. help stabilize herself when she does need to stand in the shower. Other than that, I'm sure that she's alot happier and thankful that she's no longer living alone. Thank you to you both for bringing her into your home and not placing her into a nursing home. You've heightened her quality of life ten fold! ❤

Watching the boys help Freya with the egg hunt made me think one of the reasons Freya is going to be a good big sister is that the boys have been showing her how. I know they aren't like that all of the time, but it's heartwarming to see. The gnomes are a nice little touch of Wisconsin. I love how easily Grandma G's decorations blended in, it's like they were always there. It sounds like her quality of life is going up along with her safety. No longer alone, good food, less housework, and it sounds like she's treated like a queen. She's living the good life! How does she feel about becoming a KZbin star? I assume you wouldn't be filming her if she had a problem with it, of course. She seems comfortable with the camera, like a real natural.

I would get a second litter box for the cats and put it in a different part of the house. Also get some cat scratcher, toys, and beds etc and spread them around the house, just like you did with Grandma Gloria's things, to help them feel like home.

This video gave me goosebumps. I loved my grandma so much. She was 60 years old when I was born, and she lived to be 100. I am 59 years old and still talk about my grandma and the impact she made on my life. Grandma Gloria has a beautiful smile! She seems to have adjusted well with the move. That road trip would have been hard for most of us especially sleeping in that moving van. Grandma Gloria did great. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

Family life is so important - nothing is worse than sitting in a room day by day, even with family visits. Even if your grandma was 100% able bodied. I am sure, after the fatigue and stress of moving itself subsides, your grandma has such a boost of quality of life - you give her back 24/7 family life (with a room to rest whenever she wants), safety and so much joy with your little ones and all the pets! I actually did it the opposite, as my mother does not want to give up her indepence (yet) i put a home office into her house (have a job who enables me to do that) and spend 50% of my time with her (no children so i am independent) and my sister and her family is closeby the rest of the time. The time we have is now -in the end, thats all what matters for every human being regardless of age.

You guys are doing a great job accommodating grandma! I love how you’re making her both safe and comfortable. 2 suggestions I have from caring for my own grandma is ask around and find a good gerontology doctor that specializes in older adults. They will be able to handle her medical needs but also help with resources for just her life in general. The second one is find a local senior center where she could make friends as well as stay connected to services for senior adults. May the Lord bless your family!

Bless you all ‼️♥️😍💛 just take each day as it comes. My hubby and I took care of his mom for 4 yrs before she passed. We have a lot in common. One month before we were planning to combine housing we found out we were pregnant. We talked about it and Grandma said she could think of nothing better than new life coming home to share with each other 🩷 she really loved holding the baby and she would talk about when she raised her children. Remember each day is a gift 💝

I wish I can move my mom who is disabled into my home however we have a two bedroom apartment unfortunately however I love what you guys did and how much you love her and want to help her. I am so happy Cambria is on the 4th baby and everything is going so well. I hope it's a girl so Freya has someone in her room like the boys are together as a team. I shared a bedroom with my sister almost all of our childhood life and it was awesome because it was like my best friend in my room with me like roommates. Hi guys, I have a touch lamp for my elderly mom, I also put night lights all around for her. I also have the tall toilets but I also put a toilet seat riser on the toilet seat. This way she doesn’t have to go down too far. It is just wonderful that grandma is with you. Always be on alert when she goes to take a shower. I have a table top speaker that mom can use near her chair, that way she doesn’t play the tv too loud. Great job Bobby and Cambria.

When I had cats and a dog, I had to keep my cats’ food on a countertop to keep the dog away from eating it. Being a caregiver is a full time job. You guys are doing a great job right out of the gate. The kids are going to have great memories of their great grandma!

Nice to see your getting settled with Grandma in the house.. I’m sure it will take a bit of an adjustment for all to get into a new routine.. if I can suggest maybe putting a safety bar in your shower which will give Grandma more of a sense of security while standing if she has something to hold on to if needed.. also if there is a senior Center that has activities she maybe interested in or just to get around other seniors … Bobby/Cambriea I can see how you take pride in your yard and home .. looks beautiful. Another thing you probably did not mention is that she no longer has to cook. And so her health is probably going to improve because she is getting better nutrition. Also the kids will keep her young and the kids will learn so much more from having Great Grandmom around.

You might want to keep the cats food and water in her room..as the dogs will woof down the cat food in one gulp and the cats will get nothing. Great install of the ceiling fan.

I bet it is fun for her to have those little kids around her every day. The only suggestions I would make is to add a grab bar inside the shower. That helped my parents a lot as they aged. A wireless doorbell would also be great for her to have. If she needs help at any time, when you are in a different room, she can ring the doorbell to let you know that she needs help.
