Good job!!! I find those axle drop-ins terrifying 😅

Thanks. They are scary at first but one you keep your feet on one you find they are super easy.

Good work out man. Funny thing is when you get the axle stall proper you can’t go back to the in the ramp version. I have 3 tips: practicing rolling out of the quarter (to get more feeling of going over the coping) You have the turn, so just try to focus on getting your head up and heels down (to get you sitting on the coping) And last, maybe go for feebles first (because you don’t have to get your body all the way out, but you do have get the board on the coping and out).

The best thing I tried after this was what I call the poor mans feeble (I think this is what you mean). This is were I go for an axle but not turn all the way so your back truck locks in and your front end on on top of the ramp. I call it the poor mans feeble because for a proper feeble you should have just one wheel touching the top of the ramp and your weight needs to still be in the ramp. I still struggle with the weight on the heels though and that is what I need. I think speed is key really but I hate speed lol.

Great video and fantastic to see you get this axle stall drop in.👊💯🔥🔥

Thanks its a cool way to get into a ramp and mix it up from just dropping in.

Nice job on the axle stall drop in. Glad you got over that fear. All the things you said near the end are very true.

Nice job Matt! These scare the crap out of me. I started practicing these when I had a 12" and a 24" transition to learn on. But since I moved I don't have anything near me that's less than 4', and I don't find this "easy" like you do ;) Keep it up man!
@amskateboards3 жыл бұрын
Yeah you need a small ramp to do this on at first. I'm hoping to try and take it to bigger ramps but I think it will be a while for that.

That quarter looks like the best spot to learn, Matt. Bring on more tricks!

Yeah its a nice quarter and good starting point.

It will definitely help you to get better 50-50. Good job Matt!

I hope so. The next step is getting it on bigger ramps.

My problem with these is pretty much the same doing the stall to early and not being in a complete stand up grind or stall I don't know why it's so tough lol bigger the quarter the scarier as well Good work man keep at it and keep it in the bones
@amskateboards3 жыл бұрын
I agree its harder the bigger the ramp. As for learning to stand up on the ramp I'm in the same boat, always still in the ramp rather than on top. I know what to do by putting weight on my heels but I just can't lol.

I am no good at axel stalls but I always try to aim for hanging just my back wheel over the coping and having enoug weight on my heel to not slip out. 😃
@amskateboards3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that is a good way to do them I think. My aim is just to be able to get up on the deck with them and stall rather than tap and ride.

Yip, now I need to get the axle stall up on the deck of the ramp.

where is this park ?
@amskateboards3 жыл бұрын
Its just outside Rochdale centre on the Oldham side. Its called Balderstone skatepark. I don't really know the area much as I'm from Oldham but its just off the main road that the 409 bus runs on.

Its not a proper filming mission until your board hits the camera ...congrats on getting that trick its an important set up trick for transistions

I'm still not happy with them really. I want to get up on the deck and be able to hold them rather than just tap them.
