After cleaning your deck metal...give it a blast with GT85 or 3in1 oil... i use on push bikes ..a bit like WD40 but it doesn't cause rubber or plastics to perish. It dries fast but leaves a protective layer for a while.

Hi Tomas Now watched all your videos, thanks for sharing part of your life with us, I have a smaller boat which my girlfriend and I have learnt to sail in UK tidal waters and have loved the insight that you have given us, I have admired the Bavaria brand for a few years and originally wanted the 47-51 but am sold on the 55 if only for the tender garage, I don't know you of course but I hope you find someone (even if its not Kylie) to share this all with as I have, we hope to get our 55 next year. Hey Thomas, nice video again. About the alongside situation. Why not bring out an anchor sideways to pull you away from the dock? Was that not an option? Just asking out of curiosity. Cheers!

Thank you for watching and your kind words! In this situation getting distance to dock was not the challenge. Rather the opposite. I have used anchor midship once to stay out of dock. But here the channel is to narrow as well as busy. All the best 🍻
