Interesting situation for the PH. Chinese have more private investment and public venture lending in the PH than the USA by a mile... so by that logic I'd think they don't want to disrupt it. Consequently, the military bases being rebuilt/built by the US and Marcos may be definite targets. That's the jeopardy the PH leadership has positioned itself to be in... playing both sides has it's drawbacks, especially when one of them is Chinese.
