What a day. Saw a lot of great bands. Saw a large tent got knocked clean over by the ferocious wind.

looked like a pain with all the storms sucks hollywood undead had to cancel still want to see them live.
@ViewFromTheCheapSeats9 жыл бұрын
Norgon We've seen Hollywood Undead before and they are great live. They had to drop like 9 bands bc of the time eaten up by the storms. All in all, great day.

That sucks about the rain. I was at Earthday Birthday (in Orlando) on Saturday with my boyfriend, we thought it was going to rain a few times. It just ended up being super hot all day.

Monica Cherie EDBD got the better weather on Saturday for sure. The day was great once the weather moved out. Sunday was even better! ;)

Was there both this year and last year. Easily one of my favorite festivals, but it was a shame so many bands canceled. I was looking forward to seeing a bunch of them. But yes, all in all, a great day! Minus the weather that is.

Oh wow I’m late to the party but I was there! Thank you for letting me relive this day. Weather sucked but at the end it was cool to see my favorite band perform their first album front to back. I’m sorry you missed Hollywood Undead :(.

Great video! Day 1 for me was: Like a Storm, Nonpoint, Periphery, Testament, Halestorm, met Halestorm at FYE tent, Manson & KoRn! I caught some of Slayer too \m/

Jeffrey Hilliker Thanks! We met Lzzy Hale the 2nd day at Crazy Dave's. It's awesome seeing the lists of bands that other people saw. I love concerts when they are set up buffet style and you can pick and choose which bands to see.

I came around noon to see if my parents and I could get closer to the main stage to see HU (but NOPE. Didn't happen!), because I'm only 4'9.5'' and I HAD to actually see my idols. After the storm, we came back to the main stage and saw OM&M's equipment being put up, so we headed over to the HU signing. There, I got my new Mirror Dove and Grenade Hoodie signed! Then went back to the stage for the last two OM&M songs. So it was all worth it! I got to see the Hollywood Undead members and see a bit of Of Mice & Men! Then left.

Kyle if you've not opened Aprils Loot Crate do not go to the time I am about to mention... Feel free to go to it after you open it though. At 12:24 there is a guy with Aprils shirt on, I just had to mention it because it's kind of awesome when you see people with the gear on :D :D
@ViewFromTheCheapSeats9 жыл бұрын
Matty Hawke I've already run into a bunch of people (a few at Rockville) that had the D&D shirt on. Every time I see someone with one of the Crate shirts, it makes me think that half the world must subscribe now.

Luckily we caught Hollywood Undead at the pre-party at Jacksonville Landing the night before. I thought I was gonna go insane listening to that announcement over and over for 2 hours straight. Pissed I missed Exodus (but glad I caught them in Niagara Falls a week prior)... wasn't happy with the Slayer / ST schedule conflict - but from the videos I've seen, ST sounded like shit... Slayer was much better. Metalachi stayed in our hotel and got to chat with them there and at the airport on my way out - nice guys - gonna see them again when they come to NY in October. At one point I just accepted the mud and soaked it up. Got back to the hotel and walked thru the shallow end of the pool to rinse off my sneakers / socks / legs! Fun weekend - my first Rockville.
@ViewFromTheCheapSeats9 жыл бұрын
Lester Wilson Awesome stuff! We should have walked through the pool at the hotel too. I ended up just chucking our shoes out when we got back to the hotel. I will forever hear that announcement in my head when I am thinking of Rockville.

ViewFromTheCheapSeats Oh and I also forgot to mention that I chatted with Brian "Head" Welch from Korn at Jacksonville Airport for a few minutes when I flew in.

I remember hearing there was a tornado warning and me and my friends looked at each other and said "fuck that shit." We drove back to our hotel and waited like an hour for it to pass then went back only to have it rain more. We were in that building at 6:03 right next to the Ferris wheel with a bunch of people.

Alistair McIntyre I wasn't a big Manson fan before and this show didn't help improve my feelings. Nothing like a nice slow motion concert. LOL.
@berglysanders20358 жыл бұрын
+Alistair McIntyre i got front row to Manson that day. The story is i lined up about 45 minutes before still about 40 people back and found a group of of 2 attractive girls who turned out to be lesbians with this other loud lesbian so the the loud starts preaching "Everyones whos a true Manson fan group up and we shall fight are way to the front" we got about 14 people and slowly started pushing up people began to push back obviously... eventually we decided to change to the snake tactic and line up and slither our way up that worked extremely well considering i was 15 tiny and leading the charge. Finally we made it to the gates at the front only me and one other tiny chick that was right behind me it was a great experience

HypeVI We've seen Korn a bunch of times, so we left during their set (especially after a long day of being soaked). I don't think Korn is as good as what they once were.
@HypeVI9 жыл бұрын
i think they were actually really good on that set. me and my friend were talking about it, he's seen them a bunch of time and he was saying that they killed it this time. of course, it being my first time seeing them, i liked it a lot.

Your room looked really close. To bad weather wasn't good. I hear about small sharknadoes close by. Who was the band covering pantera cemetery gates. I did not like that.
@ViewFromTheCheapSeats9 жыл бұрын
David Thacker The hotel was right across the river (Crowne Plaza). We've stayed there the last 2 years and it's a decent location bc the water taxi stops in the back and takes you right to the event. The cover band was Metalachi, which is kind of a parody type band (mariachi metal).
