Hey friends! 🎄 A lot of you have informed me that the audio becomes out of sync right after I talk about Something From Tiffany’s (around minute 13) and think this is because I originally recommend the movie Silver Skates next, but after realizing that recommending a Russian film during this time is extremely insensitive because of the war in Ukraine now right, I went into the KZbin editor and edited that part out of the video. I should have realized that when making the video in the first place so I’m very grateful you guys pointed that out to me. But apparently KZbin didn’t do it’s job and didn’t edit out that portion correctly. However, all you need to do to fix the problem is watch the video on a laptop or phone. It seems that watching it on a tv is when people have issues with the audio. I’m so sorry about that and wish KZbin would have edited that part out correctly, but I don’t want to fully delete and reupload the video. So try watching on your phone or computer for a much better experience! 🤍🫶🏻 Thank you so much for your understanding!

Lovely video Desi, I’m 60, and what music comes to mind for me from my childhood is the Ray Conniff Singers anything from Frank Sinatra , Bing and Andy Williams. Movie is The Bishop’s Wife with Cary Grant and I still love the Walton’s Homecoming and A House Without a Christmas Tree, an old show from the 70’s. i didn't say this when i meant to, but that talk at the end was just what i needed. this christmas, i've been too caught up in schoolwork and events (plus our winter break started right on the 24th) that christmas just feels like it came and went. there was no time for getting into the christmas spirit or really thinking about presents and enjoying making/buying them or romanticizing the whole season. i've been feeling really upset and regretful that me and my family weren't able to fully enjoy christmas, but it was nice to hear the "that's just how it is this year", and how we don't need to feel a certain way or do all the christmas activities. i've taken this year as something to learn from for next year, and even if i don't get the full feeling i want next year, i know it'll be ok. thank you ♥

My favorite version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is the one by Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis. There is a sweet melancholy to her rendition. Meet Me in St. Louis isn't set exclusively at Christmas, but ends there and has a delightful old fashioned American Christmas vibe. I think my favorite Christmas song though is The Christmas Waltz by Frank Sinatra. I can't hear it without wanting to waltz around the room and pretend I am ice skating. I have watched Eloise since I was a child. My grandma recorded it on VHS one year for us (ahh the good ol days lol) and it became one my and my family’s most favorite Christmas movies. I never hear anyone talk about it but it is a movie that brings me so much joy and always makes me think of her ❤
