Wow! This video is so valuable. I'm getting ready to watch it again! I'm a homestead momma of 4, number 5 due in July. Our spring rush is just starting and I already feel like I'm drowning! My husband works a lot of overtime in the winter so that is still going but we're also starting maple syrup season and have beef calves and piglets being born. Garden starts need planting, the dairy cow will be back in milk in May when she calves right at the time all the garden needs planting. Baby 5 is due in July and 2 weeks later all of our heavy garden preservation starts (we can up to 1000 jars are year) and it will be nonstop until October. We've also got homeschooling mixed in and just the regular stuff that keeps a house running. It's a lot, and I'm feeling it! This video makes me realize there is so much I can still implement a system around to help things run more smoothly. I've watched regular home management videos and they always seem to miss the mark but since you are a homesteader and cook from scratch, these systems are a perfect fit!

I’m so glad you found this helpful! I really loved making this video because I know how much these systems have changed my life for the better. I will add that for you, I would highly suggest outsourcing what you can around the time you are due. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! We weren’t meant to do this life alone. Whether it’s an older child or hired help, there is no shame in delegation. I wish you all the best. ❤️

Love the systems. I'm so glad you have an analytical mind and break things down the way you do. I think this way as well, and your attention to detail is so refreshing. I cannot wait until the spreadsheet is available!

Hi Jennaopal thanks 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹

Thank you for sharing! If you can find time, please make a video on more of the kitchen power hour and your tub system for the ingredients needed for the meal on the plan. That intrigued me and looked so functional!! But, also lots of space needed lol. Thank you!

Ok, I can do that! And I actually had a similar system that I used in our little trailer, so I could share on that as well.

I did the alarm on my phone to, and it has been a game changer for me! I also have been doing the flylady app...but would like to switch to doing that in a homemade planner with checklist built in type of thing. Love your organization as it allows us to be more present with our kiddos when we know things are scheduled and done.

Yes! I tried a few apps and I would just not look at it.😂 The written planner has been amazing.

This was humbling. Never in my life could I get done as much as you do! Thank you for sharing your systems, though. While I will never be at your level of productivity, they help me achieve my personal best.

Oh man, I sure hope I didn’t make it sound like I’m perfect at this! My season in life has allowed me time to be more productive at different things. There were seasons when snuggling and nursing babies was about all I could accomplish and that was just as meaningful. ❤️

I have a kitchen power hour...oh my word we do so many of the same systems...we have to be sisters! Dinner is here at 3 so my kitchen and house is clean early. I have big people who work a second shift so everyone can eat together this way and I can play in the evening with my littles and have a wonderful 90 minute story, memory work, and song time. I am so exhausted in the evening and cleaning the kitchen at 6 or 8 was just not getting done...so early dinner is a huge win here!
@TheFromScratchFarmhouse2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brenda, so cool that we have so much in common! Yes, I agree that an early dinner is nice for getting the busy part of the evening out of the way. Great idea for balancing having older kids and still having a family dinner!
