I’m definitely going to need to watch this again. I think a few key components went over my head 😅 I feel like budgets are easy for the people doing them to understand, but it’s always difficult to explain to others.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I’m going to do a zoom call for anyone wanting me to go over it more. This way people can ask questions and I can show more examples. I will send out the zoom info to my email list and on Instagram. If you want the link to either just let me know!

I agree that adding one thing at a time would be much a much easier transition.

I can relate about homesteading being expensive. When I moved here to MO, the house I got was in need of several repairs (partly why I was able to afford it; initially anyway) and lots of trash to remove from the property. Also there was no infrastructure other than the house and a deep well. No barns, sheds, coops or greenhouse. And then too, I needed to borrow some more for a tractor since it was an absolute necessity to be able to get things done on the property. And a woodstove was needed for heating the house and appliances. (except for water heater and oven/range which came with the house) But of course the water heater needed repair since it was not working and plumbing had broken pipes that had frozen over winters while the house was unoccupied. Am I having fun yet? LOL!! And now that there are chickens here, some fencing needed to go up. (more $$ for tools and materials.) But like you said, they are investments for the long term. In due time, they should pay back some for themselves. For example: Have you seen the price of chicken eggs lately? I feel like I'm sitting on top of a gold mine with egg laying chickens here. (freeze drying excess eggs too for long term storage) So that's my story. (so far anyway) Yes, it's a rough start and it is like like that for many choosing this way of living too I'm sure. But following a budgeting plan does seem to make sense. Maybe not as comprehensive as you have laid out; it is just my brother and I here after all. But certainly a more more structured approach should help instead of just winging it. Sage advice you have given here... Like others that have commented, I'll be watching this video more times to absorb and implement some of your ideas. God bless and thank you for sharing .

Yes! There are so many financial investments when starting a homestead. But now that we are established it is getting better and our investments are paying off. I'm so glad you found it helpful!

You aren’t alone. I’ve had this feedback a lot on this video, so I’m going to break it down in future videos and hopefully do a better job of explaining my method. ❤️

Your budgeting workbook link doesn't work and it is not in the resource library. Please send it to me if you can. I really need help with budgeting and it seems like it would be a great resource.

I think us millennials have a different relationship with cash than previous generations. To me cash just seems to evaporate and it’s inconvenient!
