October marks National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
When I first decided to share my story, it began as a plea for help. However, it has since transformed into a mission to raise awareness and foster understanding. I aspire to encourage leaders to confront the challenges surrounding reporting domestic violence, a task often made daunting by personal experience, as I now comprehend.
My leadership isn't defined by the insignia on my uniform. Contrary to misconceptions, I choose to share my story as an Army Officer to emphasize transparency, break down stigmas, offer support, exhibit resilience, and promote awareness.
As I close this chapter of my life, I remain committed to advocating for self-empowerment and supporting victims. I'm using my social media platforms to share these chapters of my life and the transformations that lie ahead. " It started with me saying it out loud" .

Why did you get kicked out of the army for reporting domestic violence? That’s makes no sense at all. Was there something else that happened in the whole story because I don’t see how a soldier can be kicked out for reporting the truth.

Anyone from the military encouraging others to be transparent, is a blatant trap designed to remove victims and support abusers. Tailhook exists today in abundance. The top of command is 100% to blame for all this crap.
