I am sharing this video and this process as I am fighting for my career in the Army. I want to share this process to hold those accountable, help those in similar cases and free this from my mind; help me heal.
0n 3 June I was assaulted by my ex-boyfriend and fellow Officer.
In my case, preponderance of evidence was determined by the number of witnesses rather than the greater weight of all evidence.
I hope this can shed light on what REALLY happened.

First of all I want to say you’re strong ash for speaking about it. Second, I was in the same situation you were in. I feel your hurt and pain. I was enlisted in the military and my ex husband was also in the military, he beat me and put me in the hospital three times… with medical records and all proof of the abuse I went through the military looked at me and said we were both guilty until proven innocent… I was pending involuntary separation as well… from that day forward I knew the military was not a safe place, for me or anyone out there. It’s crazy because our case got “dropped” because no one could find the case papers…. My abuser is still in the military to this day… I luckily did one contract and got the hell out.

Robert is going to end up killing someone in a moment of rage and Brian could have prevented it because he will have seen all the red flags leading up to it… the way Robert talked about & to women… all the women Robert physically abused… Brian could have stopped it and that blood will be on his hands too. he will be just as culpable.

I’m proud of you for stepping up and out! Your leadership should be behind you all the way! The message they are sending is piss poor! I wish I would have had your courage! It wasn’t domestic assault but I was definitely mistreated which lead to my separation! I let it side bc my term of service was coming up on I wanted to make sure I had honorable discharge! I regret it now bc I’m paying for it! Keep pushing, keep fighting, and thank you for showing other soldiers that it’s okay to stand up for yourself!

i have a similar story; i fought hard to be heard for my mst assault case years prior and was too exhausted from that to fight this fight because i knew i’d be let down a second time. you fighting is a voice for us all and sharing your story could help save someone 🤍

It’s crazy how common this is in the military/ cid is terrible at investigations/ most command investigations are handled by someone in the unit who don’t want to rock the boat so they don’t actually do any type of due diligence and just want to make the commanders happy/ I’ve learned Tds doesn’t help always get a civilian attorney never delete any messages keep them for evidence and record everything/ I pray for a positive outcome for you but if you don’t get one file a civil and criminal suit against both parties

Not cool these dudes straight up lied on you. They probably did it because they thought you would tell on them. You should have definitely chose your associates more wisely. All of the red flags were there. When alcohol is involved people aren’t rational and the alcohol takes over. But tbh if both dudes told you, you be doing too much you probably do be . When you’re friends with males you kinda become a “male” to a certain extent in their eyes. So you will get treated like a dude. I’m assuming you’re relationship with both dudes was platonic ? But tbh if a dude I’m cool with tells me to stfu over and over and I don’t respect his wishes I’m expecting a fight, and or at least a confrontation whether it be physical or verbal. I say that to say the dudes lying on you made you a victim. You not shutting TF UP according to man rules got you fucked up, no harm no foul tho. Lesson learned be extra careful of the male friends you choose to befriend and…. STFU when someone tells you too out of respect.
