I too started laser hair removal a year ago and like you experienced self consciousness due to the dark marks from in grown hairs, the discoloration that comes from continually shaving and/or waxing. When I started to see results (almost immediately) I could have actually cried with how much better I felt and how much emotional pain I could have saved myself. Girl yes. My ingrowns are enough to break me down. Even if I wear tight clothes it will cause them. I hate when ppl say wax, I’m like you don’t even understand. It has to be our hair texture. I should look into lasers.

Yeah this package situation is crazy and too much of a commitment for me. I pay $75 per session for lower face and chin area, but so far i've only has 1 session. The other place I got a quote from 95 per session.

Thank you for making this video. I too have gone through a journey trying to figure out the best way to manage my body hair. I have done waxing, sugaring, shaving, epilating, and electrolysis and haven't been satisfied with any other the results. Girl they charged me 5k for underarms and brazilian in 2023 in Illinois chicago suburbs. Unlimited number of treatments though. I am baffled that you paid that little. I have life time warranty tho. If a hair comes back in 2030 or whenever I will get it zapped for "free". I'm on my 7th treatment and the hair is like 65% gone so 8 treatments wouldn't be enough for me. Just so you know it feels like the hair is gone like on the 3 or 4 treatment but it'll come back. You'll most likely have to buy another 8 treatments

I’m definitely looking into laser treatments for my Brazilian area because I’m at my wits end. I gave up shaving and nair for waxing because everybody and their mama makes waxing sound like a godsend and I’ve done it for 5 months now. Worst mistake ever. and it got progressively worse with each session. I have never had so many ingrowns in my life, big cystic ones too. Now my bikini line is riddled with scars. I’m so frustrated.

I am getting laser on my chin… it’s that time where the hormones are out of whack. The problem with the face, it takes a few times to figure out the strength because the hair of the face is different. My doctor recommended 4-8 sessions and I’ll likely need the entire 8. I think we found the right strength now - I have my 5th session next month. It’s $200 a pop but I’m going to one of the best black dermatologist is Los Angeles. I plan to get my pits done and they’ll be brightened as well. Deets on the earrings?

Hello, it went well. The pain wasn’t that bad (like a bee sting). I recently had my second session and I remembered to use numbing spray prior to since the laser power was increased this time around. The second session went by fast. After my first session, my hair growth was definitely slower in comparison and some areas barely had any hair growth. It’s making a difference for sure and I’m happy I did a ton of research prior to.

Hi! Tbh I have no clue. But I do think it’s normal for some people to grow hair after the first few treatments. As long as the growth is slow and thin/fine I don’t think you have anything to worry about. And take it from someone who has been burned by a laser before - I’d prefer starting too low than too high!

Scars from ingrowns are worse. I even get them on my thighs. I’m on my 4th session at my dermatologist with the ndYag laser and they started me off at a low setting to make sure I don’t scar or get any hyperpigmentation. They’ve raised the setting each session and I can’t wait for the hair to completely stop growing! Do it!
