In this off the grid adventure, my good buddies Marco, Josh and I head for the mountains of Arizona to escape the desert heat. Marco and I are driving our Jeep Wrangler 392 for this trip, and Josh is driving his brand new Ford Bronco Raptor towing a Patriot Campers X3 trailer. We hit the dirt just outside of Kingman, AZ the first day and then spend the next few days making our trek along a portion of the Back Country Discovery Route. This is an overland adventure none of us will soon forget!

Love the videos. I just picked up a 2014 Rubicon Unlimited. This is my 3rd wrangler, 2nd Rubi and 1st JK 4-door. Previous owner put a great rig build in it, ran out of money. Traded for a sportscar. Worked at dealership and showed me what her family of Offroaders did to it. 4.5in lift, 38x13.5x17 bead locked Falkens, Evo armored skid plates, ARB snorkel mated to a K&N cold air intake, fully sealed, other stuff, just bought it 2 days ago. going to continue build. 105k miles and She is practically showroom clean. Tan leather seats, hardly a wrinkle int eh leather. Has been off-roaded a little by previous owner. Dune Tan color Jeep did for 2 years, 14-15'. I'm a Desert Storm combat and disabled Veteran. Marine and retired early due to health issues. I was right in the frontline, also spent a career fixing nuclear submarines in Maine. Retired and sitting at home, but I want to go off-roading now. Bring the Dog and maybe the cat. Watching your videos, looking for pointers and trail suggestions. I live in Kansas. We need an off-roading club around here.

I remember in the late 80's cutting sign in the hills for the Border Patrol and driving new Broncos and Ram Chargers on the trails in West Texas. We were fortunate at our station having our own assigned vehicle. I remember a vehicle with 10,000-15,000 miles usually had a lot of wear on its suspension from the hills. I wish I had taken the time to enjoy the ride and the scenery. Today I am old and retired sure miss those days. Great Video.

@@TrailRecon love your content. You obviously put in a lot of time to produce such quality. From your videos I can see you have even driven past my cabin at least once during your adventures in the Bradshaws. On the one hand, I enjoy seeing you discovering so many seldom traveled trails in AZ on the other hand we would like to keep AZ beauty and solitude a bit of a secret. Hot coffee at dawn, especially out in the mountains, is a reward that can't be matched. The maintenance roads along the big transmission lines are just there for the maintenance crews as far as the power companies are concerned. They generally need more maintenance during the wet seasons. So they are often really rough. The ones I have driven in the Sierra are similar with more up and down, and deeper ruts than you showed.
