I found your channel kinda accidentally, watching Kyle's for so long. It never occurred to me you'd have your own unique, genuine voice until your familiar face popped up via algorithms. I didn’t have my first kid til I was 31 and she’s two now. You have your kids when you’re ready. When life slows down it’s a good time for kids because they pick things up again. We couldn’t have had her before we did because the story was about our relationship, now it’s about us as a family. Love your content you inspire me and always follow your gut because advice can be wrong.

Ally - just my opinion, but marriage is more than just a piece of paper. It's a beautiful union that you get to share with your friends and family. It's the joy of calling that special person your husband. I could see your face light up when you spoke about it. Don't let anybody (or somebody) tell you otherwise.
@OldFolksRoam5 ай бұрын
I agree. Young kids are terrified of commitment, but a special blessing comes from being married. It’s way more than a piece of paper. That’s way so many different couples fight for the right.
@CadeCYC4 ай бұрын
Beautiful opinions- my own is that while it may reflect a special promise & shared experience to some, to others they are unneeded labels & attention that do not add meaning to an already deeply meaningful relationship. Also, pure love is an expression of freedom and for some, “tying the knot” in some ways restricts that freedom. It is purely up to the individuals to express what best suits their union, “married” or not.

Neem oil spray helps too with the garden pest. Keep a couple possums around. They love eating ticks. They are pretty cute when carrying around their baby’s. I have Lyme disease. It’s horrible but manageable. Check the soil for the zucchini if haven’t done so yet and remember certain veggies like to be grown by certain other veggies. A good homesteading book can list the ones that do. You may see better growth. Great video.

Use Repel tick spray the minute you step outdoors in nature. The natural shit doesn't work. Been there, done that. I don't care what anyone says about that stuff, it's either running screaming of a tick stuck on me or Lyme Disease. I will risk the chemicals over that. I have an irrational fear of them and am outdoors for hours in my garden. So far *knock on wood* not seen one tick crawling on me in well over a year since using this stuff.

I hate that people throw negative comments your way. I don't think they have a clue how hard it is to talk, film, script, edit, etc. You do so much work behind the scenes. You are such a swweet beautiful person inside and out, I'm so happy to have found your channel. I've only become interested in homeopathic and natural items more recently, making candles, etc, and gardening, breadmaking, homesteading, and soak up everything I can learn. I wish I had come down that path earlier in life, but never too late! I too want chickens....I'm twice your age but feel like we would have been friends if we were the same age and had crossed paths. Don't let the negatives get you down, they have no idea what they are talking about. Good for you in using all the crazy comments and questions to grab attention on your title!

I'm 54 now, when I look back to my 20's, I just wished I would take a better care of my legs (knees and ankles). Now I can't run or hike the way I used to. I just spent a rainy day in the PNW of Oregon, catching up on all your, and your Mr’s videos, and this was the icing on the cake💗 I too, have been very busy with our little ‘homestead’ (an acre in the middle of a tiny farm town.) My husband and I got married here, with 80 people in attendance, in 2020 after being together for 16 years. And yes, the evolution back to our roots of living outside of societal standards is amazing. I deal with this concept daily, in more ways than one, but a big one that comes to mind, is the fact that I am a mama to young ones, and a gramma as well. Which brings me to the fact that my grands are all “Irish twins” with a running joke that my DIL has one in the oven and one on the boob at all times lol- they get a lot of negative feedback and it honestly frustrates and disgusts me!! They live off grid in a 5th wheel in Northern Idaho, where my son is a miner, and they are extremely happy and healthy and my DIL has birthed all their children at home, unassisted, with my son helping. He has special scissors for cutting the cords after the cord stops pulsing, and a fish scale for weighing. He plays the harmonica or his banjo to lull them to sleep, whilst smoking his pipe, under the purple skies. Anyway, that was my little story time to encourage you to keep thinking outside of the BOX and to keep up your position of ‘active rest.’ It is a beautiful journey💗💗

Zuchinnis are one of those plants you can practically set and forget but they don't like being over watered or too hot. Mine enjoyed the extra space to branch out but I also put them in a different box away from all other plants and they seemed to thrive that way. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for 40 years. IIRC where they live recognizes common law marriage so that does protect them legally which is important but everyone has their own metrics for what's important. There is a pretty cool rhythm to live that happens when you stop living like there's no tomorrow. I definitely lived that way in my 20s and 30s and I know I missed out on a lot of things. Society pressures us, especially women, to do and be everything to everyone. "You can have it all!" is the mindset and if you don't want it all there is something wrong with you. I'm all about women being accomplished but only in what they want to be accomplished in. Being a mom or childfree; being married or being single; having a career or being a SAH wife or mom; none of these are right or wrong. We are all different and projecting our expectations on others is insane. Thanks for this video. I hope you continue doing what makes you feel creative and it involves videos on your channel. I enjoy learning a different way of life than mine and seeing things from a different perspective. 😊 But when you decide this is no longer how you want to roll, that's cool too. I'll enjoy your content while you're here!

Great video! You had lots of great questions and answers. We watch alot of youtube, mostly outdoors and channels like yours, and it's sad that so many of the generous content creators on such benign subjects that are meant to create happiness and peace for so many people are heckled by the trolls. Some content creators head if off by making a statement during their video about "this is the way I do it". Good for them! If they/you can state the limits and boundaries to the audience, that's good because it steals the trolls' twisted thunder. My wife and I hope to make it to New England some day for the Fall foilage! That marriage and children topic - a classic 😂 not only online. Just made a video about it - We turned 30 before our first was born, got married 4 years later when I was heavily pregnant with our second 😅 and we were the first ones to become parents at the age of 30! Our generation definitely does it differently. And the reactions are different as well: friends paying attention wether I order a beer in the pub or not (pregnant?), family asking when we plan to get children but at the same time not being prepared when the baby news came 🤷♀️ Not my problem, theirs 😄 Loved this video! Also that you took us through your day with that. Thank you!
