Sean, when were you diagnosed? This is always important to add, because if you have survived for several years, it can give hope to those who are diagnosed now. I am a 13-year GBM survivor. For anyone interested in resources for GBM and other high-grade brain tumors, I suggest visiting virtualtrials.com/ , where you will find stories of long-term survivors and other useful information.

My mother had glioblastoma, I guess if your younger you might be able to last a couple years, but my mom was 64 she died at 65. It was a nightmare. Back and forth to hospital wrong diagnosis, the one thing I know is your brain controls everything, my mom completely stopped talking one-day the day before she was talking. The next day she was talking normal. I know the first sign was headaches, then vision problems, then balance, then one day out of the blue she was acting so crazy, I mean people are going to kill her, there's a camera in vcr, it's nighttime not daytime. The worst is there's nothing that can be done. The doctor didn't tell me that at first. He said she needs brain surgery right away, I just was so scared that she would act crazy, the first thing I asked was will she be normal after surgery? It really messed me up because I always looked to my mom for answers, but now it seemed my mom was gone. All I can say it was a year of watching my mother suffer if I could do it over I would have had hospice right away, no suffering..
