Married 31 years, love hubby to match me. Bought my sons 4.5 years a part matching fits for special occasions and then the last one 15 and 11 years later can be difficult to match, but I find a way lol! Had the whole family in matching fits for our Hawaiian lua too everyone loved it the women’s dresses were different styles, but same print. Not sure son’s gf loved it that much, but I did!😅

a tip for next year: I usually put a shower curtain down underneath to make clean up of any water spills/condensation, sap, & needles easier. (fold it up and tuck under the tree skirt)

We used to put newspapers or wrapping paper, but it still made a mess, because we ended up ripping the paper. Shower curtain sounds so much better.

Also when you want to move the tree out of the house you can wrap the tree in it and then get the tree outside with minimal needle shedding in the house (in theory...). My family used to put the tree on a low table and did the same with a tablecloth. (Style points if you hire a non-descript van, put the tree in it in the middle of the night while constantly looking around you and then run back into the garage to bring out a shovel....)

We have a special Christmas carpet to put under the tree. Has a lot of green in it, where you don't see dirt that easily, and it is easy to clean. Love it.

I think you'd find the tree would have traveled better if you had put the big end of it toward the front of the car. They also go through doors much easier that way. Enjoy your real tree!

Ok can I come to CO and paint and decorate your home gym? I think you would be so much more excited to go out there if it was all painted and cute. This comes from a good place and seriously offering my help. I will fly out there and get it done over a weekend. You have all the equipment just need to paint, put some tall mirrors up, a little station to hold towels, bands yoga mats...all the cute and necessary stuff. Maybe even a little mini fridge. You deserve a special little space.

Couples do match, young and old. Also really affectionate couples sit on the same side of the booth. Lol. I don't and we have been married 27 years, but I have friends that do who have been married the same amount of time. Everyone is different, but I think couples matching (not exact but similar colors) are super cute.

Your tree looks great! I'm sure you're getting tons of tree tips, but in case it's helpful: putting the trunk toward the front of the car can help with making it secure on the highway, and cutting the bottom off the tree trunk to expose fresh wood will help keep it fresh longer. Oh, and the aspirin thing is a myth! Just keep the reservoir full and keep the tree away from heat sources.

The settling thing is true! Most trees are wrapped in nets when they are transported to wherever they are sold. And then again when they are purchased. It does take time for the branches to settle back down. If you only had your tree wrapped for a short time, then you probably dont need to wait that long. So short story long: it depends on how long it was wrapped before and after you bought it.

This exact same thing happened to us one year. My daughter was in the back seat and said "guys the tree is falling off the car!" LOL Luckily we had a sunroof and I held onto the tree the rest of the way home. It was cold and rainy that night too. My hand was frozen.

FYI you put the tree on your car the wrong way. The truck of the tree should be by the front of the car. this way when you drive the wind won't go through the branches. and make it like an umbrella(don't know how else to describe it). Also you need a thick blanket or rug . This way tree won't move around so much. Oh and whatever you use to hold tree down should go around from the inside of car.

Here in Central Texas, they sell rosemary plants cut into xmas tree shapes that are about 2.5 feet tall. You might like getting one or two to decorate, because then you have a useful herbal plant after the season is over.

For the Christmas’s tree casualties- have you tried ornament anchors? They really help fasten ornaments to the tree so pets can’t pull them off.
