Tim Keller discusses the significance of the Red Sea crossing in the Old Testament and its connections to the New Testament, emphasizing that salvation is about getting out of bondage on different levels.
Keller goes on to explain that everyone is in bondage to the law, their sinful nature, and idols and mentions how individuals can become enslaved to their own ministries, careers, or success. Redemption is about getting out of bondage, and grace is the means of getting out. Keller uses the story of the Red Sea to demonstrate the importance of grace, highlighting the fact that Christianity is unique because it involves a one-time transition into the kingdom of His Son through crossing over.
Finally, Keller discusses that Jesus is the ultimate mediator, enabling Christians to be recreated and freed from idols.

You are not saved because of the quality of your faith. You are saved because of the object of your faith, your Redeemer, your Mediator, the Lord Jesus Christ. ~~~God(and spoken here by Tim Keller)

I once had an NIV Bible with inserts of little sermons from different pastors and I remember reading a little thing from Tim Keller and thinking to myself “that guy is different.“ it is rare to find someone who has both the word of God and the love of God and Tim was gifted by the Lord in that way. He is one of my favorite pastors, preachers, and theologians.

We are saved for the purposes of God is also a consideration. One purpose of God is to be holy-separated from the world, for good use. Walking in real holiness and fellowship with our Father, in humility, also causes our faith to remain and survive trials, which reflects righteousness of God. Gratitude alone is not enough to be a long term disciple, IMO. There will eventually be sacrifice, like Jesus did, to be his. It is at this point that many fall away. Which is it? Never saved or election not made sure? Who knows. We are save by/thru faith (Heb 11:6) as well. God will be God in his work of grace.

God's torments in Egypt were a battle against the idols they worshiped, They worshiped RA a sun god and God created darkness over the land. They worshiped a bull and God gave all the cattle boils. they worshiped a frog god and God caused Egypt to flood with frogs. 1 billion frogs. and they were not to be put to death, because they were holy.

This is all word salad with name dropping. You don’t become holy the more you know. You ARE made holy by the accomplished works of Christ. You manifest that holiness by renewing your mind to the realities and beauty that God has made you in Christ! Proving what is that good , acceptable, and perfect desire of God. Which is to walk with Him in peaceful and meaningful fellowship, as well as with your fellowman. Geez, Christendom is still leading people into a ditch of confusion and destruction. They always have to act so educated and make things so difficult. God help us.

But then what does a person do when they read about heroes of faith like King David or Joseph or Daniel or Samuel or & the prophets? We are bombarded with movie heroes and television heroes (who often unrealistically) took down horrible villains making us feel good. Do we not all appreciate the Die Hard series? Or James Bond? or Star Trek? Then within our faith itself there are modern legends of prayer warriors like George Muller who could ask God for anything and POOF it happened or was almost instantly providentially there. There are great revivalists and evangelists who brought thousands to Jesus Christ. Many look up (& many theologically look down upon) to Charles Finley. There are the Charles Spurgeon, and the missionaries who gave everything to reach a tribe like Nate Saint Jim Elliot Image result for Roger Youderian. Or Ric hard Wurmbrandt who at least tried to bring down Hitler. Also there are their female mothers and women who often seem to have smaller visible roles. We look at the faith chapter of Hebrews 11. This certainly makes us who are like the ones that trembled as they passed through the waters look and feel tiny and pathetic by comparison. Then when we do seek to do some little thing for God and His kingdom's advance we feel guilty when we do something because we fear we are trying to be accepted by works or perhaps seek a little more clout with God through our doing something we hope is noted by God, But when we do not seek to do any thing for God or His kingdom and do exactly that STAND STILL and see the deliverance of the Lord we feel guilty because we are doing nothing and see others doing so much. At times it feels like we are damned if we DO and damned if we DONT. We become double minded and therefore never know whether we should be doing or don'ting.

Satan is the author of confusion. It's very simple our sins are covered in the blood of Jesus. Do I have regrets yes I do. What do I do now I go through You Tube and try to bring light to atheist whom troll channels like this mostly creationist channels. Jesus said create disciples not church members. Dies Gid require me to do this to be saved? No I flourish in my spirit to do this with Love and kindness to do my best to get others to come through the parted waters to the other side. Other religions require you to die for their God the real God our creator died for us as we would die for our children because he made us in his own image.

You could go preach and go on and on, repeat what you've been teached, but monotheism is still man-made. I guarantee it. This person was a robot. That's why he had a problem with criticism. He could never come up with original ideas.

Tim; read the Urantia Book (the 5th Revelation) at least part 1. The Universal Father and the Eternal and Divine Purpose. See how the authors deal with the command to ‘Be ye perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect’. Reform preachers are afraid to peek into a book other than the bible. I call the book BBC, the Big Book of Cosmic intelligence. Yes, the idea of perfection is deep in our psyche. It is a command and the universal plan has made it possible. Daune
