Getting Outside

Out on some land which was formerly owned by a logging company well over 20 years ago then was turned into a hunter's property. which nothing was done to it other than harvesting animals. I say this because there is a lot of work to be done as far as giant piles of old rotten wood and logging roads gouged through the property and having the mind set of restoration instead of take, take, take. Let's put something back into the land like hard work and care. Before the end of 2024 I closed on said land and became the new debt free owner. The boy's and I are attempting to clean up a very small part of the property, so that we can do some recreational activities and maybe forge a homestead in the future. But for now, we are swinging axes, running chainsaws, shooting skeet, roasting brats and washing it all down with hot chocolate and stories around the campfire.
