An idea acquired to me. What is instead of the word “attract of a man” we say “choose”… we attract all kinds of men but we choose only certain types of men… what do you think?

that's very true.. why did I read this in a royal voice? Maybe because you used the word 'acquired' :)

I have a performing activity and am used to being approached by women (and my bandmates have the same experience). The take-away is, the person who initiates the contact is usually the one who ends up with an 'unavailable' person. If the guy initiates the contact, he was more interested than she was, and she will become 'unavailable' at some point. If she initiates contact, she was more interested than he was, and he will become 'unavailable'. So if you're smart about it, let the opposite party initiate the contact. If you have a live performance activity (music, acting, DJ, rapper, stand up comedian, etc) you will find that the large number of people you're around (compared to almost anyone else's job) means it's likely you never have to initiate contact. It's been that way for me since I starting playing in bands as a teenager. If someone approaches me, I did not have an urge to initiate contact with them, so it's understandable that I'm less interested in them than they are in me. So you shouldn't be hard on yourself (in my opinion) if you lose interest in someone who initiated the contact with you. .

This does make sense. One of the best ways to get lots of 'incoming traffic' is to create opportunities where you're seen by many. But I don't think that just because someone initiates the initial contact, it means they're less or more available. There are so many different factors.

@@IEVAKambarovaite The only time it changed is - one of my bandmates says "I want to settle down" and made an effort in that way. It's the main reason you hear so many people who are performers are constantly moving on to their next 'love'. There are never ending options. I've thought about "is this okay" and realized this: "I go on vacation each year, to the same city, and visit the same tourist attractions, and stay at the same hotel, and eat at the same restaurant. And I've done that for 5, 10?, 20? years in a row" No, that never happens. No one wants to eliminate 'variety' from our lives. Buying new clothes when the old ones fit fine, a new car when the old one runs fine, changing jobs, changing our residence, etc. Our entire culture is dependent on having variety, so I decided there's nothing wrong with it

@@Greg_Chase I totally get the appeal, but I think a lot of choice can also be crippling. Also, time comes in someone's life where you want to share your life with someone and maybe enjoy the same vacation or the same food more than once and you want to do that with the same person. It sounds that you're enjoying your rock n roll life, which is great. I just hope it's not for the wrong reasons 😊

@@IEVAKambarovaite I think we all have times of short, then longer, then shorter 'relationships' but if a very pretty lady is on your scene, the commitment thing stops making sense. Most people lead 'quiet lives' though and it's more practical to settle down with someone, so I get what you're saying. All depends on your situation. But I would recommend, if you find yourself alone and don't want that, to pick up a performing activity of some kind and meet tons of people.
