For anyone who's nervous or just wondering, I learnt all of these maneuvers in 3 days and I am not a fast learner. The biggest impediment to you will be fear. In QLD the test also involves a slow control exercise where you need to take longer than 10 seconds to go 20 meters. That's the hardest thing and really the only thing that needs actual practice. Everything else comes with a bit of experience.
@HONDAKING4551 Жыл бұрын
interesting I found that maneuver was the easiest thing to do during the pre learner , i was able to travel the 20m for a solid10-15 seconds

Here's a tip for the test. Rent the CB125 at the test centre instead of using your own bike. I was confident on my own bike on the open road and in normal traffic situations but it has a longer wheelbase and weighs 70kg more than the rental and so is a little less manoeuvrable. With the rental I could ride the brake until it was smoking, endlessly grind the clutch, and had no worries about dropping it. Two guys with their own biggish bikes struggled to get through the cone weave and the tennis ball dodge, and the right hand U turn was a challenge for them. So I reckon the extra price of the rental was worth it to me.

these are exercises are easy. In Europe its literaly maybe eve twice as had. Some of the obsticles youd need to do. slow cone wobble. Like 7-10km/h 8 cones in a straight line spacing like parking spaces. So you need to really leen the motorcycle. Fast cone wobble that is you dive to it at 50km/h and there are 8 cones, spacing is about 2-3 times of car parking. Horonoble mentions, braking test at least 50 km/h. If your rear tire slide its a fail. Like not minus score, fail means try again next day or weekl or whatever. Qucick obsticle avoidance, so come in at 50km/h between to cones obsticle about 10 meters in front and about 3-4 meters to the left. You have to quickly get around it and make between two cones again. Also one is where youre standing still and theres a line about 1 - 1.5 meters in front horizontal and you need from a standstill start driving and not cross the line in front. So its very slow manuver, you let the clich out you stall and fall, you release full cluch probobly jump stal and fall. Falling crosing a line any cones is a fail. Theres also one where you need to drive next to a person at his walking speed without falling or putting foot down. So as you can see europe is strict asf. But they do teach you to be a good resposible rider. Also we dont have P's its A1 A2 or A. A1 being a scooter, A2 like begginer bike up to 35kw. And A is full no limit. Any of these you go trough the same stuff. Oh I forgot after parking test you drive on the road in bussy city while youre being filmed for about 45 min if you follows the rules didn't did any fatal mistakes (like stalling more than 8 times, endager someone on the road, fail to react to given situations, cross like double line or turn around where you;re not suppose to, fall youre done) they do not fuck around.

As a heads up, use their rental bikes as they’re much lighter. Furthermore, this test is majority low speed manners, so practice low speed u turns and sharp angle turns. You’ll need to ride your clutch to make some of these turns, hence why using the rental is better. Best of luck.

Is there a street component in traffic etc? Looks very different from WA motorcycle tests where's is more like a car driving test, where they anal about every small thing: changing lanes mirror checks, head checks, signals, head checks for approaching side street intersections, points off for not in first when stopped at lights, right foot down, being in the correct wheel track ahead of time etc. And most of all speeding!!! You won't believe how many people automatically fail because they didn't see a change in speed limit sign. But I imagine doing the test in a large group lined up like this is for the sake of time and efficiency otherwise riders would be waiting forever to get a test slot.

Sami Uddin ninja 400, you can use your bike as long as it’s LAMS approved and well-functioned, they will check your brakes, headlights and indicators.

@Mr tea and biscuits Yeah that's what I've been told but I want to be able to have the confidence and skill to do it on my bike even though it's bigger. My only issue is the u turn. I don't go too wide when doing them while practicing but not sure if I can fit in that 6.1m u turn box I feel like I might go just a tad wide. Everything else on the test I'm fairly confident I'll be fine with though

So for those of you reading this, I did my test last week. Only 2 months of riding experience and I passed the test no problems. What helped was practicing in empty car parks with cones set up just as the test. It helps to get some lessons with a more experienced rider. Thankfully I have plenty of friends who helped me through. All that's required to pass is to shut up and practice. Even if you drop the bike, pick it up and keep practicing!

hey i wanna make my motorcycle license while work and travel in australia - is this the only and final test when you wanna get the license and how many test lesson did you take and did you bring your own bike or did you get one while you are in the motorcycle school ? would be cool if you could answer :) by the way congratulations to your passed skill test
@loreto80464 жыл бұрын
if you have overseas licence then you can simply translate the documents thru authorised natti translator and have the original licence as well as the translated copy with you when on road. if you wanna get a NSW licence, you can go to your local training centre (like "Upright") and get a learner licence, it will take about two days to get a learner licence (teaching, training, test included), for the learner lesson, they provide bikes (manual or automatic, depends on what you are gonna learn). after you hold learner licence for more than 3 months, you can apply for the MOST to upgrade to a provisional licence (you need your own bike for the test or just rent one).

Don’t get a gs310 if you want to pass this test, requires too many revs on first, and the clutch doesn’t allow for much travel. Yes I’ve been practicing the cone weave, had other experienced riders do it somewhat but most stall, and stall= point.

If the test is so short (6 mins), why does it say this takes 7 hours? Is the rest theory for P1?
@pauly540 Жыл бұрын
The test is nothing. It's all about learning theory of riding before hand. Buffering, cornering, safe distance. Basically remembering that cars wont see you in blind spots, so you need to protect yourself. That's why it's a 7 hour course. Hope you passed 👍
