Pet mice seem really cool. I saw someone a while ago describe them as like a village of little people I guess referring to their individual personalities.

They really are a village of little people. Everyone of my 22 mice has a totally different personality. I should do a video on that it would be really cool, thank you for the idea! 🙌

Nature is cruel, be thankful that we have the capability to socialise with small animals like these instead of eating them like practically every other predator would.

my mice come when i call them for a treat also when they do littles calling tweet i tweet back and we do this back and forth for a while, they are little clowns, they are with me 24/7 as im housebound granny

What to do with wild mice? I scared away a cat playing with a mouse. Was scared, exhausted and maybe injured. I took him/her in a box put food, water and grass in there and a place to hide... rested and slept... and took him/her back to nature. But what is right?

Well done you did a great job! There really are only two things to do in that situation, if injuries are bad you can usually drop them in at the vet free of charge (here in Australia it’s like that I’m not sure on other countries). As a wild animal they really can’t be kept for very long because they can become humanised (rely on the human very quickly) which endangers them when going back into nature.) The second thing to be wary of if picking up wild animals are zoonotic diseases, best to use gloves or a blanket. Hope the little one is ok and thank you for looking after them! 🤗

There was a time when I went to the camping club on October 10, 2012, and I was the first witness ever to see the mouse in the house, making me devastate and scream by my heart as I couldn't do anything but thinking myself a bubonic plague way back in almost 700 years ago, I eventually called all the people from the club and caught the mouse and freed, before that, I have petted the back of the mouse and felt extreme goosebump and a weak screech, i.e. opening mouth wide but screaming at least under breath... as it was a great memory. Going on, I also even petted and made movie by my eyes with a friendly cat in a barn too while I was chosen last for the horseback riding. That October 10th was surely making lot of animal communications by me.

So if I get a pet male mouse it’s OK for it live alone as long as I “play” with it a lot and give it a lot of stimulus

In my opinion yes although I know other people may say differently. My male mouse Bob has lived both alone and with others and he’s most relaxed alone. So I think it depends on personality. 😊

I have a mouse. I didn't ask for it. But I can't make it leave. I've tried. He turned up, about a week ago, I was playing a video game on the laptop and noticed something on the carpet in front of me. I looked down, and it was a mouse. Just sitting there. As soon as I moved, he ran off behind the desk. I looked behind the desk, and there he was. So, I closed the bedroom door, and slowly started emptying everything from the floor and piling it on the bed. Then I took all the drawers out of the desk, and put them on the bed. Once everything was cleared, I lifted the desk ..... no mouse. When I looked at the door, the mouse was there, it's mouse face poking out from underneath, watching me. So I sighed, and put everything back where it was. The next night, I was playing a video game on my laptop again, and suddenly something ran across the ground in front of me, and disappeared under the door. I opened the door, and there was the mouse. Sitting there near the kitchen door, looking at me. I just closed the door in disgust. A few nights ago, after many failed attempts to catch it, I kinda gave up. So I put out a small piece of cheese, some water in an egg cup, and half a cracker. Sure enough, an hour or so after midnight, I could hear a crunching noise coming from the corner of the room. I flicked on the light, and there he was, eating the biscuit. I turned the light back off. The following night, so yesterday, the mouse returned and I actually heard it climb behind the desk, through the bottom of the desk, and up through the drawer system into the top drawer. Inside that drawer, are some letters, a few pens, some paper pads and paintbrushes. It rummaged around for about 20 minutes, before everything went silent. That drawer, is now the mouses base of operations. Right now as I type this, it's 3:06am, I just woke up and was about to go and make a cup of tea, and all I can hear is the mouse chewing up bits of paper and wood in that drawer, making a nest. I don't know if it's a boy mouse or a girl mouse. I hope to god it isn't a pregnant girl mouse. There is only ONE mouse, I'm 100% sure of that. As it's a cold snap, it's going down to freezing every night for the last 4 days and is set to stay that way for another week or so, I've decided to let it live here and feed it cheese and biscuits. Once the weather breaks, I've devised a cunning plan to capture it and I've prepared a shoebox, with lots of amazing mouse style bedding materials, and I'm gonna transport the little bugger into the shed outside. In the meantime, I'm just praying that my £40 watercolour sable hair paintbrushes are unharmed. Peace. From me and mouse.

That’s such a cute and quite funny story 🤣 clearly the mouse likes you! Try and avoid the cheese if you can as unlike the cartoons teach it’s actually really bad for their tiny tummy’s. Male mice are usually pretty obvious if you can get a glimpse 🤣

@@MiceAndRatEnrichment Update... Tonight it got down to minus 4 degrees. Looks like it'll be another week until I can evict the mouse. So I gave it a buffet. From the left side of the desk, near the doorway, I put a variety of food including a rivita cracker crumb, digestive biscuit crumb, a cherry tomato, tiny piece of cheese and another egg cup of water. He woke up about an hour ago, scratched around for a while, then grabbed his breakfast. He pulled the tomato inside the desk, ate the rivita, had a drink then pissed off under the doorway into the house. Probably up to no good. I find it hilarious how, despite me being RIGHT HERE, a giant 6 foot dude just a few feet away, he doesn't even care. Just goes about his day (or night), in *his* new house. Insane. I checked the weather and things pick up by the 14th. Hope he doesn't give me trouble on capture day!
