The best thing about all these issues is you learn so much from them and you will eventually appreciate all the pain along the way. All of the best things I learned have come from my mistakes and through the process of figuring them out. You will become a Zen Master of electric cars and your advice will be sought after for years after this build...keep up the great work.

I had watched a few WeberAuto videos, and they were all very informative. It is great that you are able to reach out to local expert sources for diagnostics. Sometimes it is valuable just to get an outside perspective from someone who has decades of experience to help focus on the most likely culprits and hidden gremlins.

Hi...had exactly the same thing--nerve pain going down my right leg--after my back surgery...my surgery was a micro-discectomy, yours may have been different. On the advice of my surgeon, I went to a pain management specialist (MD) who had experience and a great track record in resolving this exact sort of pain. He injected a steroid powder solution at just the right spot, and it shrunk the area where swelling was pressing on the sciatic nerve. It resolved the pain completely within days. Just my experience, yours may be different, but thought I'd relate it in case it might help. --Don

Hey there I Don’t know if someone suggested but you can resolve the problem with Dielectric coolant.
@ElectricSuperCar3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Talking with John at WeberAuto he said once you have put in regular coolant it is extremely hard to flush it all out so that it will be non-conductive. Meaning that you would likely have to do several coolant flushes. I eventually got things isolated. Whew!

I think you should spend some time investigate what the battery cooling spacers are contacting... I am concerned you have a leakage path between cells. Just a thought while you have it taken apart.

On the nerve pain in the leg. Mine got nicked and 6 years later it hasn't changed. On my right out board thigh towards the knee, it feels like a mix of bruised and asleep. You get used to that if that's what you're experiencing.

good luck diagnosing the issue. Watson is a good name. Another good one is "Potential Difference", our name for the Ford Festiva we built in engineering school for the Tour Del Sol competition. owd.tcnj.edu/~asper/SolarCommuterCar.html
