What I discovered about creakings and trident killers while making my own farm is that it seems to be tied to an attack cooldown. I initially tried to place the hearts in the trident killer to save space but when I realized there was a cooldown I knew traditional trident killers wouldn't work. I just really wish we had sweeping edge though because you could activate the farm at your leisure by just sweeping at them like a normal mob farm.

Have you tried a magma block on a piston in the center of the floor? it works for me in the infested golem farm. plmk. thanks for another great video.

on java creaking is an absolute jerk and he spawned on everything except from slabs. i tried designing my own afkable farm that works by having the creaking spawn then try to get to the player fall down the water to a "farming" spot where player can attack the creaking and generate resin. the resin is getting collected by redstone clock moving pale logs arround the creaking heart up and down. the resin gets collected by hoppers and sent to chests. i would make this a lot more compact but for some reason the creaking only spawned when it had a few different spots it can spawn in.
