I think the funniest part of this video is that Play Wild (the mobile/steam version of Animal Jam) has a much better version of the art studio with layers and stuff lol But you did incredible work with how limited the tools are on Classic AJ, it's definitely not easy!

this was a really fun watch!! i make sealife art myself and have found that there is DEFINITELY an economy for it, people love art and if they can't make it themselves, AJ is a good place for them to collect it and interact with the community :)

I used to do comms back on play wild in 2020, and I remember having so much fun drawing people’s characters and seeing their reactions as it felt like a real job :D It also helped me get some of my dream items in a more rewarding way than simply trading. I’m thinking of opening comms again on the game since my art has improved quite a lot and it would be a good little hobby to do after school and everything. Also because it’s fun! And the nostalgia too. :)

I play the other version of animal, but even in the art mini game there, it's easier than this 😭 even though i am far more used to Ibis Paint X, I figured out a way for coloring in the drawings (although I mostly just do a black background and white lines for the line art). It's literally just coloring the actual picture in with the base colors, and then shrinking the brush size to 3 or 4 (for larger areas I put the size to 5-6), and I "blend" the colors (don't use the blending tool), instead I use dark light and mid colors, I layer the colors starting with the darkest color I chose, then I use the mid color and layer it in a bunch of "straight" lines over the dark and then do the same with the light after I finished that. Idk if anybody would like to use this method for their art in AJ, but there's my tips if ur not great at coloring in the art :3 (btw, layers r highly recommended for it 💀😭)

i remember such a long time ago that i reallyy wanted to do commissions for aj bc i wanted a black long, but nobody liked my art pieces and i was like: my art is sooo good like why dont they want to buy from me (a little bit more accurate was why didn't they heart my piece)?? around lets say 7 years later, i went to go check this "really good art" to find an actual 5 y/o's drawing skills DX...At least younger me had more confidence in their art than i do now :(

it was an old flash game that was popular like many years ago, it isnt as popular now due to the huge lack of updates, and how they only give good updates to the mobile version called "play wild". And now there are issues with people getting banned for no reason, it's really sad now honestly

@@yayvids They dont give updates to the old classic version because they cant.. its an old flash game that depended on flash and the flash shut down made it near impossible to update the game, the mobile version is generating enough money to keep both versions afloat, and theyre working on a way to be able to update aj classic
