I talked to my sister in Swannoa and she said around there and Black Mountain they are saying they might not have water back on till about the middle of December they are getting water from their church to help them but still pray for them people in Black Mountain and those areas in Western North Carolina

Thanks for sharing the video Meredith. You are so right about the coverage on the disaster starting to quiet down. So glad God is using you and others to help out. That comb is called a Scotch comb I used them when I showed cattle in 4H. They work good on horses too and especially dogs. Austin is really good with animals. Enjoyed seeing her with the calves and seeing her with Lawrence working on the drill as he is getting where he isn't able to get over in it. I did and do the same for my Dad. Hope y'all get the barley sown and I sure hope y'all and us to get some more rain.

Meredith, what your feeling is normal. I went through the same emotions on May 20, 2013 we were in the middle of the massive EF5 tornado. We immediately were helping people. 25 people died (7 elementary school babies died at school), and 314 were injured. I didn't show my emotions when working helping victims but broke down away from people. This still affects me especially when we have PDS tornadoes. What didn't help me at that time frame was going through perimenopause at the same time...LOL When you get involved, and see people in shock, hurt physically, emotionally, or even deceased it changes your total perspective of life. Hang in there Meredith, now you got me tearing up. Sending love your way.

We had lots of pigeons on our barn. I liked the way they always say, "Coo-da-la-coo, coo-da-la-coo". I didn't like it when I felt something wet fall on my head from above. I didn't know what it was, so I put my hand in it and it was all in my hair. I was with my older brother and he said, "That's the way pigeons defend themselves."😊

Hey Meredith, I live in the mountains half way between Asheville and Weaverville. We were cut off from all services for quite a while. My neighbors, my wife, and I, spent four days cutting ourselves off of our mountain. Like so many, had we needed fire services or medical services, it wasn’t available. We did not see any government official, or any Duke Power official for ten days. That said, we were blessed in that we personally did not have any damage. I just wanted to say that what you, and those who helped you is immeasurable in it’s effect. May He bestow His grace upon Y’all!

It's sad around here. Last week Monday Breanna had a under class mate was killed in a farm accident. He was in FFA. Tonight the FFA chapter had a pie auction after there awards. Some of the proceeds went to the family for a memorial for him. Breanna went to the funeral dressed up in her FFA as an officer. I'm very proud of her she shows her heart and gratitude. This last week up till tonight we have had eleven inches of rain. It can quit here for now with the rain. Take care and be safe.
