IMPORTANT FOR PEOPLE STRUGGLING TO FIND A WIRE FOR THE APOLLO: If you want to connect this thing to your computer, make sure your motherboard has USB 3 superspeed output in either C or A ports. YOU NEED a USB 3.2. A USB 3.1 won't work. I was losing my mind never finding a cable that would work for days, and eventually figured out it HAS to be a 3.2 to be superspeed, which this DAC requires. This is not specified anywhere from UAD which sucks, since it doesn't follow with the DAC. I took me days to get this set up.

@@harkensong It's been a while. I don't think it affected anything. I'm currently using SteelSeries Sonar to handle audio routing and use the gate feature which is not present in any of the included UAD plugins. I still see it show up as "LINE" in my control panel but it works fine if I select it.

Hello, could you please help me with something ? I am a windows user without thunderbolt. The guy at the store told me not to take the twin usb stating that the converter on the newer solo usb3 was better. So I took Apollo usb3. Now I realize that I cannot use fender twin + another dsp demanding plugin like chamber. Can I record with the fender first then apply on the track a chamber after tracking the fender (don t know it there is a lost in quality in reprinting something …? Is it true that for windows I just have the choice between new Apollo solo usb3 and old Apollo twin usb and that the old Apollo twin usb is less good sounding that the new Apollo solo usb3? Thank you very very much if you could answer. At the end of the day all I wanted was a twin Apollo with usb - but he told me he just has older twin usb that we’re less good than the new Apollo. I think the guy did not have a twin usb and sold me that.
