this topic is really cool! dude, one important thing that no one talks about in these videos, and it would be nice if you broached this subject. is to store the data in the ESP32 memory for when the network signal fails, and it has to be in a persistent memory that can withstand a deep sleep or reset. it's a suggestion!

For one of the startup I have built a 4G dongle with telit LE910, it was awesome thou the code was in C++ but python can be used as well as AT commands are there as usual. much IO pins are also there.

Great project, thanks for the video but I have a question. I currently use a SIM 800l version 2. The 2G network is being retired and at the end of this month it won't work anymore. I don't want to spend that much money to buy this particular module but what would you suggest I do in order to my projects working currently they all work on text messages and I have a separate GPS module.

This module along with shipping charge from your recommended site costs more than an Android 4G entry level smart phone. And certainly I can do hell of things beyond just calling and sending sms with the phone. It's not worth just making videos on new IoT boards which are really not cost-effective and thus of no use!!!
