I genuinely wish more people spoke about Kato and FImo clays on YT. Far too often, everything clay-related is from the Sculpey lines of offerings. This was a great video, thank you!

Brilliant video! When I started working with polymer clay, the internet didn't exist and the only clay available to me back then was fimo.... Now, thanks to the internet, we are spoilt for choice! Thank you for this video and explaining which are the best clay for which technique! I'm very excited for this series 🤗

Same here lol! I managed with just Fimo and it cam out great but as my hands became tired of softening the clay, I was pleased when the newer softer clays came in! Agree this was a great video!

This is great it took a long time to figure this out. Just like beads - no one is really showing us how to make different beads. I got into polymer clay because beads can be expensive and polymer clay seemed to be the answer. Basics and simple principles are terrific.

Thanks for another great video! I’m a huge fan of Pardo, and did just want to note that there are two lines in the brand, both very different. The Jewelry Clay is a very good all-purpose clay, and great for faux effects, as you mentioned. It’s similar to Premo in consistency. The Art Clay is much firmer, similar to Kato or Fimo Professional in consistency, and it’s terrific for caning! Thanks again :-)

Good info :) I just got Premo glitter clay, I find those are hard as F to work with, any tips on how to use them (prep them) for me, I just get grains, wont hold itself together....seems like it doesnt matter how much I warm it up and trying to work with it....
@JessamaTutorials

Personally I don't buy those ones. I find it's easier to make your own. Adding a bit of glitter to soft clay is much easier.

Would 100% noot recommend Clayologie. Way too flexible and difficult to sand. Burns easily as well.

I have a question? I keep seeing videos on that new fimo leather effects clay and was wondering if you have given it a try yet? Or if you could do a review on it with a easy project to make using it? That would be greatly appreciated thanks

I'm not sure. I've never given it a try or heard of it. You'll need to buy a small amount to test things such as texture, strength, flexibility and such.

Thanks again for a great tutorial! Years ago when I started playing with the clay, I started with Sculpey III. After searching why my pieces were fragile, I know it was the clay I was using and my oven temperature. So I’ve been using premo for quite awhile now. I still have a lot of sculpey III left. Any suggestions on how I can use some of it up? Will mixing it with premo make it stronger ? Maybe like 1 to 3 ratio? I hate to get rid of it if it’s still usable. TFS
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 3 жыл бұрын
If you mix 1 part sculpey 3 in with 3 parts of premo is will be strong enough to use.
