I don’t know your circumstances but most animal sanctuaries are desperate for all types of volunteers, It’s not just physical work but often organising , paperwork, or simply sitting and spending time with the animals giving them quality time that’s so important. They will be grateful for anything you can offer , I hope you realise your dream x

The opening sequence of this video is so beautiful!! Eperlan's jumps are so graceful and majestic!! It brought me to tears. And to realize you rescued him just in time. What wonderful people you are, Nick and Jennie and sons. Marvelous karma watching Eperlan prancing happy and free with Little Liv, so very special!! It makes me feel so good!! Thank you!! Oskar Robin is only really happy when he's cradled in your arms, Nick. He was antsy sat on your shoulders. Says a lot about his bond with you. So special to see!! I'm convinced, Nick, that you can fix anything!! And you explain in great detail exactly how you are going to do it!! I feel you are speaking directly to me. And I've never felt neglected. You made me feel welcome from the first time I saw you, Jennie and the boys with Sadie and Udea. As far as the equipment you brought with you from the UK, smart move, "waste not, want not!!" I'm pleased to be watching the adventures of the Moon Family!! Shout out to Ryan for providing those supports. He, along with Michael, are the ones who got me started on this journey through the various vlogs in France. It generally isn't as profitable as you think. Unless you have a stud horse, the initial cost, training costs, for some a rider cost, upkeep all eat up earnings fast.

I didn't realise Eperlan was a puissance horse - wow! His jumping is magnificent He is amazing for 32 yrs 😮 Your infa red is fab. I also follow Black Horses Ltd - a sanctuary for Friesians in Cumbria, they have infa red in a room where they aren't tied up,and can move to where they want. The horse may want it only on their head and withers, or on their bum - they decide where! It's called the Friendship Barn as people can go in there with the horse, or sit in the other side of the room of they don't want to go in with the horse. What a wonderful idea 🙂

I lost my FEI dressage horse 2 years ago at 32. I bred him trained and showed him to Grand Prix, retired him at 25. They are a lifetime commitment and a marriage of equals

Do you know the story of Harry Deleyer and Snowman who was an old Amish plow horse that Harry rescued off a truck that was bound for the meat and glue factory for only $80. Less than two years after he rescued Snowman, they rose to become the national show jumping champions and were the Cinderella story and media darlings of the late 1950s and 1960s. Very few horse stories have been able to truly touch the hearts of a nation. Red Pollard & Seabiscuit did it in the 1930s, Harry deLeyer & Snowman did it in the 1950s and then Ron Turcotte & Secretariat were the last to do it in the 1970s. HARRY & SNOWMAN (the movie) will be the first time that Harry's remarkable and heartfelt life story will be told by 85-year-old Harry himself.

Wow that brought back memories watching Eperlan jumping at 'The Puissance' competition, watched lots of those various equestrian events on tv as a kid, coming from a 'horsey' family. I wonder if others here know how incredibly high that wall is, getting up to somewhere around 7 feet, (correct me if I'm wrong) or higher. Surely there's not many horses could do that, only the creme de la creme ! Was amazing to see what an incredibly skilled athlete of a horse can do. What technique. Absolutely perfect. Bless his heart ♥

Not sure if they have them in France or what they might call them, but I would highly suggest gutter guards! It's metal sheeting (or even a thicker screen) over the top of the gutters that makes sures larger items (leaves, sticks and the like) don't get into the gutter and piping. It saves a lot of frustration and you don't really have to worry about cleaning them nearly as often. 😊

I love what you do and the passion you bring to your endeavor. My granddaughter had two show horses (hunter jumpers). They were magnificent.. One she called Blue Label in the ring (Fero when he was home). The other was Sullivan he was the one that won most of the ribbons. He was a big boy but very calm under saddle. She lost them both to colic a year apart. They tried surgery but she lost them. It broke her heart and she hasn't been back to the stables in 4 years. I hope one day she finds her way back to riding. Her first horse was a huge palomino draft horse she called Leo. Her nick name for him was Comfy Couch. He died of old age and was retired at living his best life at home with his buddys Hennessey (Irish Sport horse) who was lame and could no longer be ridden.. She just lost Hennessey this past month. The 3rd on was Oy a mini horse that mom picked up at an auction. He is now at a sanctuary with other mini's and they visit him with goodies. I have always loved horses, but was never fortunate enough to learn about them. I am grateful to my daughter & granddaughter for educating me. Eperlan is such a beautiful horse and served his rider well. I am glad he gets to live his life at Legends with the Moons and Little Liv. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Can't wait to see your Amazon wish list.
