Great videos bud! So many parallels' it's crazy! I am hostage to my high-end clients as well and 95% are city dwellers. But as you've pointed out many times before, it's hard to beat the rates they are willing to pay. Take care brother!

Dual axle trailers ride much smoother. Easier to balance the load as well. Ideally, a small suv or van would be ideal if you could cram everything in there.

Best type of clients are ones who expect you to charge them for all your time. And understand what you need to do. When they day things like. Things change on the fly and you want clients who are able to adapt their budgets as the scenario adapts.

The whole point of me making money is to make my escape to Alaska. Blows my mind how cheap you can buy a piece of that beautiful land. 10 acres is all I need. Off grid, small 2 seater sport pilot plane to fly around all the backcountry landing strips. Adventure at every turn.
@Nope99856
@Nope99856 10 ай бұрын
Yea the land can be cheap depending on where/what it is. If you want really cheap land then be prepared to be completely off grid with no road access. And while the raw land can be cheap if you are willing to work, the cost of materials and getting them to your location are much much much higher than the lower 48, so factor that in, its called the Alaskan gouge. If you really want to see the savings you are speaking of, you have to live off grid AND do everything yourself, including milling your own wood with trees on your land, which means finding an area with suitible trees etc. Theres a lot more to it than just "land is cheap in Alaska" Source - I've lived here since 92

Thanks for the video =) Where I live, payments (or the lack of) is a rather common occurrence unfortunately. A lot of dishonesty goes on when it comes to trades & crafts jobs here.

Money over living in the city nope. I bet you live out in South Minneapolis. It is a hot market out there, but I would rather have less money and have a country living. You are right about getting out of the city and then that’s where all the trades people are. My competition has started to thin out. The older handymen people are retiring to the point where i cant keep up. On average, though you will make less money out here per hour.

I don't know where you want live but I'm in Australia and live in a rural area about an hour or so out of Sydney which is huge. The beauty of this area is it's rural BUT there are plenty of people with money who need help and pay. Will never work in the big smoke. It's horrific. This is bliss. Nice people. No traffic. Everyone pays! Perhaps there may be something similar not far from you.

How did you manage to do that to your trailer!? Get rid of it! Way more work that what it’s worth and probably won’t be safe for the road after that fix. I bought a brand new 6x12 v nose single axle trail in 2017 and have not had any issues what so ever. You must have over loaded the crap out of it! Stay within your weight limits and you’ll be fine.

Okay, I'll bite. The bike stand looks like a 3rd hand product. What is it and how can I review it? Started handymanning 2013. What works best in my 1 million population Metro area. Key to endless pick and choose projects. Took a subcontracting job my first year in business to supplement my income as a fixture installer. Plumbing and electrical. Made sure I hade approval to leave my business card for non- competing projects. CHA-Ching. As you know there is a distinct advantage to being asked for an estimate VS soliciting one. This is the key to my success for sure. I'm very capable but KZbin the hell out of it. It might not be fair but I became financially successful just by showing up, being thoughtful, polite, honest to a fault and remembering names of client, kids and pets. (write them down and log under contact information) Hard no on truck advertising. Mostly price shopping plus you cant give the well deserved BIRD to the Zombies with your number on the truck can you..
