Finally got my 17' tuned because of the positive things I've heard about the OTT I switched to an AGM battery which needed a higher output voltage from the alternator to fully charge the battery, which the tune resolved. The mild/medium tune seemed aggressive at first but it definitely woke the truck up it was worth the wait for this one.

I just got it done on my 23 tacoma. It definitely took some getting use to but its a lot better than stock. Actually held 6th gear going 85 up hill. And a little better MPG.

@@d-n-dvids8533 the transmission no longer hunting gears shifting is delayed and allows the engine to wind up longer before shifting into a higher gear. The fuel economy is not suffering noticeably. If you constantly use a heavy foot fuel economy could suffer.

Although we do not guarantee warranty status, many of our customers have had no issues having warranty items taken care of without issues after tuning. The tunes do not modify the OEM ID, which means it will always report back as "stock.”

It also depends what you got on your truck bro! If you have a lot of weight of course it’s gonna suck but on my truck it helped a lot on mpg tbh.

If you have not tried the Sprint Booster I highly recommend it. It’s a hardware device that plugs into the throttle on the floor board behind the pedal. It was night and day. Three setting on the little fob that you can stick on dash or hide in dash. Stock 1-9 Sport 1-9 and Race 1-9. My happy spot is S-5. If it’s on Race settings it will red line the motor in a snap so I’d test it out and find your sweet spot. It doesn’t add any HP but damn it feels like it does. Zero lag on the pedal. Exactly! the tune fixes all that, with the Pedal Commander and those other ones, it just manipulates the throttle response and I heard sometimes it sends too much voltage and causes issues, better to go with the tune for just another $100 or $200

The tune will identify as stock calibration. As an authorized installer of the OTT tune, we do not guarantee warranty status, however many of our customers have had no issues having warranty items taken care of without issues after tuning.

Your driving your truck at 3k rpm at 70mph. That doesn’t really look like a good tune for the truck without forced induction. Increasing the rpm range at lower gears will in time lower the engines life. Just be patient and enjoy the Tacoma offroad!

Nothing mystical here. The OTT tune is built on the latest ECU CAL ID (TSB) for each year model Tacoma. It is mandatory that the TSB update be accomplished either by the Toyota dealership or by the Tuner prior to flashing the OTT tune.
