Wow! Great job! I hate those glass enclosures. My mother had one installed when I was a teenager and my job was to wash it. The track was so hard to clean and the glass needed to be constantly wiped down on both sides. To me a shower curtain is so much easier and pretty.

We had an enclosure like that for many years and I often complained to my husband that the track at the bottom hurt when I was bending over to bathe my grandchildren. Also, it was impossible to clean those tracks that ended up with mold and mildew. He finally allowed me to remove the enclosure and now we have a nice, clean shower curtain and liner that I wash regularly. You can get a curtain that surrounds the entire tub (the kind meant for freestanding clawfoot tubs. I enjoy your channel so much and identify with your French heritage since we are Cajun French living in South Louisiana near the Gulf of Mexico.

This was such a satisfying watch. I remember all the work you did in that bathroom previously, so I was looking forward to this second part of the transformation. I think you did a brilliant job removing the enclosure Sophia. The bathroom looks so much bigger and more modern without it being there. The smile on your face shows how happy you are that it’s finally gone and that made me smile too. 😀

I don’t remember saying that the track was not screwed to bath tub ( except that one screw) but looks like I was right! For the most part Lol! Kudos that was a lot of work. 💜👍 ( then again I don’t remember a lot of things these days 🥴) I have glass block in 2 of my showers. It is circa 1990? But my house is as built in 2004. But I like it and it’s easy enough to clean for the most part.

🎉Awesome work Sophia! 2 hopefully helpful ideas: I saw this on a KZbin video once: Put Baking Soda on bottom of tub, followed by Dawn Dishsoap, followed by Vinegar. It will foam up and let it sit. Then use the scrubby side of a sponge and works great. I remember your hall closet, maybe you want to put the litter box on the floor in there with a kitty door or put it in the hallway with one of those enclosed kitty boxes?? Your bathroom is going to look so nice when you’re done and bath time would be so much more relaxing without the litter box. 💕 🥰 LOVE your videos!!

Wow, what a big leap there, girl. Soon it will be my turn in the barrel doing that. 😬 Have you considered using a curtain track that hangs from the ceiling. Like a hospital room track for partition curtains? Rebecca Robeson designer uses them and they are quite sophisticated looking. Just look into it. Can't wait for the next video!

Word of advice, I would have professional to come in and reglaze the tub and tiles. Or you can buy a reglazing kit from home Depot. My son in law done theirs and it looks ok. But my friend owned apartments and had her reglazed by a professional and oh my goodness, it were beautiful!!! Just a idea.

Not calk for the holes. Use metalish screws for bathroom. They would look better and more finished. You can fix them with silicone. It's something like the ones from ikea to make the holes in the furniture more invisible, something like buttons.😊

Too late for now but did you know they make a gel product that dissolves silicone sealant really easily? It means you don’t risk scratching the tile or tub by having to scrape really hard.
