​Dont hesitate. They NEVER disappoint. My fifth time seeing them was October 1st in Charlotte NC. I was one of the 15 people lucky enough to get the VIP experience they did this time. We spent aboit an hour with them. 2 songs for the soundcheck not part of the setlist, and a chat on stage for about 35-45 minutes before we all got pur stuff signed and a professional picture taken by their photographer that was dropboxed to us before they hit the stage​@OhrionReacts

Three favourites before: Perennial live at Wacken 2019, Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest, Pisces live session. This one is quickly becoming my favourite because it is really a brave song about people struggling with alcoholism. The Green Serpent is an Eastern European metaphor for alcoholism. (Tatiana has posted about her sobriety). She and the band have a lot of talent and their compositions are driving the evolution of metal but it takes guts to expose one's struggles. It's very hard to choose "favourites", and it changes pretty regularly. But: 1. Ape 2. Home Back 3. As I Boil Ice #1 & 2 are pretty solid, but #3 could easily be "Outlander", "When Two Empires Collide", "Sit Stay Roll Over", "Mediator", "Green Serpent" or many other songs. "Green Serpent" has some of my favourite vocal melodic composition from Tati, & I love her extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice to hit highs in this piece, a part of her vocal repertoire that we've heard very little of before now. The section with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great tom drum groove is incredible, & I love the Opethy outro. Even the stripped down, simple chuggy riffs in the last two heavy sections are a welcome addition, as Jinjer fans usually have to struggle to head bang to Jinjer's weird rhythms & unusual, shifting time signatures (which I also love, of course). This is a *great* song, destined to be a Jinjer classic, IMO. They've already performed this song live, and it sounds great!

My favorite has been Teacher, Teacher from the first time hearing it. Top 3 i honesy couldnt list because how good they are. Green Serpent i believe has now taken that top spot by a small margin

lol Green Serpent is metaphorically referred to alcohol in russian. Bitten by green serpent in slavic tradition is symbolic of alcoholism and the depths of intoxication/addiction.....as for the song, the opeth outro is cool. Middle LOG breakdown is cool.
