I always felt like when he does that 'creeper/crazy/vulgar' voice was more common of a middle aged man to mimic as that's basically what it's parodying, and yeah his references are 90s but the fact that he even brings them up kinda makes him seem older, like he doesn't really have man 'modern' references/jokes I guess you could say. also the pace at which he talks while doing the commentary is notably slower, also more common of an older guy in my eyes. I love his reviews. I'm an automotive journalist in his mid 50s who has grown weary of everything automotive seen through the lens of enthusiast driver. I grew up driving giant 70s land yachts when the "Big Three" dominated everything. I sill love my Lincolns and Buicks and Chryslers, horrible as they may be. He seems to get that everything isn't always about acceleration, g-forces and stark interiors. Why the bummer music? All this time waiting to see Mr. Regular and when we do, you guys edit in music that makes it seem like he's gonna have Cancer at the end of the video and 7 people die of leukemia. Everything else is fantastic, but you ruin the tone of the whole piece by using this Lorenzo's Oil-ass piano track. Like, literally any other genre of music would work here.
