Thank you, Dr. Teal for this great introduction to this code book! It helped clarify my concerns in navigating through the manual.

Dr. Teal thank you and a good introduction to the coding manual, as well as a great refresher. Several points caught my attention and one, in particular, was your mention of Appendix H: Device Definitions. In my haste of learning, I had not paged through all the appendices. This makes a good point that we need to take time and focus on all that is within the manual.
