What type of lures does the Shimano 24 Poison Adrena 164L-BFS excel at throwing? Cranks/jerkbaits?
@JPDeRoseOutdoorsАй бұрын
I haven’t had my hands on it to be honest so I’m at a loss. Based on the number of the model and no G in it (which usually means for cranking) I would assume small topwater and jerks and even light soft plastic set ups.

Hello, i dont know if i should get the PAD170MGB or go for a different model which isnt glass for cranking! Everyone is talking about the carbon models but nobody is talking about the glass so im trying to see what to do

I just want to feel all the fuss people are talking about them... so now i dont know
@JPDeRoseOutdoors3 ай бұрын
The Glass models are really nice but it will ultimately depend on what you want to fish, technique wise…. The Jack of all trades models will be the non glass models for the most part but if you want to crank or use techniques where a kore parabolic blank will be beneficial, then by all means grab the Glass model. I feel the MHG model will do the most

Hello, if you had to recommend an "all-terrain" Shimano Poison Adrena, which one would you recommend? I mean a fishing rod valid for all types of fishing, I am looking for a good fishing rod for almost all types of fishing, especially spinning. Greetings from Romania.
@JPDeRoseOutdoors3 ай бұрын
For a bit of everything it’s hard to beat a medium power fast action model is best. I prefer a 7’ rod but I know some countries carry shorter and longer versions. It will depend on what is available in you region

Anglers fam, have a question… I’m From socal I have a chronarch G for bay fishing spotties. Ya recommend a medium or medium heavy adrena ? Throwing : 15g-20g lures on 15LB mono
@JPDeRoseOutdoors2 ай бұрын
A medium will work well with those weights as typically Medium Power rods are rated 3/16 - 5/8 oz. If the fish are bigger, go with the medium heavy
@FranciscoRuiz-wy1elАй бұрын
Did you ever end up getting one fam? I’ve been wondering how these “fresh water” rods would work out for us in so cal fishing for spotties. I fish lakes too so was thinking I could use a 7 foot medium for both lakes and harbor fishing

Thanks what rod would be a better for a chatterbait and a spinnerbait.

Up in the North with clear water, casting distance is important so I pick longer rods. I like the 7’3” MH. If accuracy and tight quarters are more important for you then maybe drop to the 7’ MH

I own a few models of both, I’m not a pro, just someone who fishes too much,, in my opinion they are in same class of quality and craftsmanship, mostly comes down to personal preference in my opinion, one advantage I would give the adrena is I think they are slightly lighter than most of the Orochi X10 lineup
