GFL2 Launch Situation is Crazy

For me having those 2 years difference in fgo has been quite useful, I've been able to roll for all the servants that interest me and some others too.

Honestly too focused on NIKKE atm I would get back into GFL (GFL was the first major gatcha I was into back in the day) and GFL2 looks amazing but I just can’t be bothered I can live with a delay but for me personally I just can’t be bothered adding another gatcha to my load (basically I just purely play NIKKE now as I did also play a lot of Azur Lane and Blue Archive but having multiple gatcha is a pain to keep up with dailies and events) So yeah hopefully others will enjoy the game

Neural Cloud launched with about a year gap and they rushed us to, I believe at this moment, about a 6 month gap. The speed up made the beginning feel a bit better, as CN from what I understood was pretty lacking the first few months, but it also meant we got meta dolls and the limited characters earlier and that's always a double edged sword. They also changed up the banner and event order after about 2 months. So while we still knew what dolls and story events were on the horizon and a ballpark as to when we MIGHT be seeing them, it was never a guarantee anymore. That all to say that if they do not rush us and just keep the gap then it also means we wont have to worry about pull income limitations and I do not see why they would change up the banner order since they apparently did it in Global for story reasons. But all of that could have just been excuses to try and get people to spend.

Honestly I'm fine with the 1 year gap. We get to see who's good and who's not. If they rush banners to catch up, I absolutely will not be playing.

I'll still play the game. I don't mind the difference in HBR global and Aether Gazer, so this'll be a piece of cake.

I play blue archive and FGO so this shit is nothing lol and I basically expected them to be like this. The thing they could do is to lower it to 6months gap by rushing the first few banner in the span of maybe 6months so it's more acceptable for some people. I prefer it to be this way because I can plan ahead of time which one I should save up for. It's crazy how much I shill out because I got dried af from the previous banner from the other gacha games because I didn't know which one will get released. But I guess people's interest ain't that high to begin with for this game and people have been shortening their attention span as well.

a few months advance is best case scenario. If that is not an option, a year advance notice is wayyyyyyy better than any other options. One of the flaws of Nikke is having absolutely zero hype cycle for characters. No notice is not good.

Content should be released at a SLIGHTLY faster rate than the original server. Convallaria too fast. If content for global was released say 25% faster, there could still be a lot of saving done by global players and the server merge could be planned for the 5th anniversary just as global players catch up and the game is slipping to competition.

I originally picked GF because they promised to catch up to CN and dropped it when it became obvious that wasnt the plan anymore and even JP (which launched after global) got ahead. I dont know the current situation of GF1 and whether or not they returned to slightly accelerated schedule to catch up, but for me ideal would be 2ish months behind (1 or 2 patches) behind so you have time to prepare for events and banners but without lagging too much behind. I dunno, I'll see if JP server is accelerated schedule and play on that since I understand japanese.

is it just me or this gapped approach is an effective way to prevent leaks from coming out? It's like, the cn bros can't really leak stuff out globally and we basically get foresight from them based on their release. global also get to save ahead as well and there's the possibility that the devs would try catching up the global to cn at some point(kinda doubt with gfl tho)

The other choice is to rush the banners and give ample free pulls, but it will definitely hurt their profit It is what it is man, all 3 choices have their pros and cons when a game decides to release their global version late haha I think Guardian tales is probably a special case where it's only like 2 weeks(?) of delay between the original KR server and the rest 😂

It's sad to see how dumb people are. Impatience is their downfall, why would you want a game to be rushed and force you to spend or miss the best units. Simply be patient and plan ahead and it gives you more time to strategise, makes the game easier to get what you want and it actually helps with any upcoming problems. Say they release new content and there is an issue that annoys the fans, it will get the quality of life update on global before it's even released. Better, smoother game and access to knowledge ahead of time to make it easier. Kids nowadays and their OCD. To be fair, it's not impossible as the devs just have to give out more resources in the same timeframe to make up for speeding it up but often that is risky as you're not guaranteed to get the same resources and it still risks if you're a spender that you will have to spend the same amount as a CN player over a shorter period to get the same amount of units etc. TBH it never even occurred to me that this would classify as drama, devs really are screwed with dumb gamers nowadays, damned if they do and damned if they don't. For the record I'm another FGO player and it did definitely help make it easier to get the units you want and plan ahead, was a good thing as most FGO players attest.

It will probably kill my interest long term, specially if they decide to release the banners in the same order they released them in CN. I don't think I'll be able to stick to the game if get into a situation where I see that it's going to be 2 or 3 months until the next character that I want to pull. It could work if it had a pity system like Nikke, that way you could still keep pulling if you want, knowing that could pick key characters using tickets.

Tbh i might drop hsr for gfl2 i'm kinda done with hsr there's nothing more to do?? For me personally in hsr i've completed everything so i might drop hsr totally and main gfl2 as my turnbased gacha game.

before you make that decision you should look at Etheria: Restart, its basically HSR but with 100% Banners, lower pity and pvp, it also has a ranked pvp and a whale pvp so its fair.
