I have been on the patch for about a year. I experienced a remarkable improvement in my mood. Also cognitive function is much better. I’m much better organized in general. My house looks better. I went back to painting in my retirement and I’m making wonderful progress. It is a shame that more people don’t benefit due to superstition and stupidity. Sort of like the Middle Ages.

I'm a 45 year smoker and also recently discovered nicotine pouches. I use the strongest 8 mg type and I use at least 10 per day plus still smoke so I am taking in around 100 mg per day. The truth is that I have never felt better in my entire life than I do now. I feel a general sense of wellbeing 24/7. The additional nicotine from the pouches have a much more significant effect than smoking alone. I have never felt like I do now just based upon smoking alone. As for the blood pressure - went to the Dr for regular checkup the other day. My blood pressure was just 112/76. He was very impressed and had never heard of these pouches before. Unfortunately because of smoking getting a bad rap, the general public is completely mislead about the benefits of nicotine. It is a poison in most people's minds. There had to be a good reason why Native Americans used it and now I know why. It is one of those gifts from nature in the plants around us.

I would suggest getting of the ciggs, and going fully on the pouches? You can find stronger ones online if you need that... have you found coffee to help with replacing some of the cigg use?

The blood pressure thing is interesting, I can attest to it anecdotally. I’m athletic and train in jiu jitsu and kickboxing often, my blood pressure is at times 130/70, which isn’t so bad, but when I use nicotine I’ve seen it go as low as 119/58! Maybe that’s just a stress relief aspect of it. I’m interested in seeing more data about that.

I've used tobacco everyday since I was 15. I'm now 70 and smoking the very finest premium cigars. I'm always dealing with low blood pressure but that's mainly because I only eat once a day. You have to eat to maintain blood pressure. Added nitrates is what skyrockets BP which is the opposite of what we are told. The food industry would go out of business with no nitrates. Nitrates break down into chemicals called nitrosamines. These nitrosamines can increase your risk of cancer. Everyone that I knew that quit tobacco something went terribly wrong with their health and some didn't make it. I think in many cases nicotine acts like chemotherapy which is a poison as well. Cancer can't live in all that poison. However, lungs full of smoke is a death wish. I always dipped snuff, chewing tobacco, and smoked cigars and pipes. Never inhaled. Never been a cigarette user.

Absolutely fascinating. I chew 24 nicotine gums a day! Have done for over ten years. That's 168 gums per week. 720 per month. 8,760 annually. I am aproaching 120,000 consumed in total. Was seriously just wondering this. How nicotine patches could effect adhd being a stimulant
@phero9
@phero9 2 жыл бұрын
In my experience nicotine patches can be extremely helpful as a stimulant medication at ADHD. It can give you a clear mind, it helps you focus amazingly, and treats the depression and anxiety that comes with ADHD. So it’s a real miracle treatment in my opinion. You just have to find your dose, because if the dose is too low, it won’t work, and if it’s too high, it won’t work either. So you must take your time and find the best dose for you, which can be differ individually in my opinion.
@JohnRBIV

I have a positive personal anecdote on that. I’ve struggled with ADHD and anxiety my whole life, and even dropped out of school despite testing highly. I’m an author and artist, but I’ve had severe trouble focusing and getting work done. But when I smoke or chew the gum when working? Man, it really helps. I’ve tested it many times over.

I also have IBD.High dose vitamin D3 helps along with vitamin K2. It has powerful anti inflammatory properties. You have to take 20+ thousand IU's daily. I started off with 50.000iu along with 300iu K2 daily for 2 weeks then cut down to 30.000 for 200iu K2 for another 2 weeks then went down to 20.000iu D3 200iu K2 Daily as a maintenance dose. Never felt better! A good Bcomplex is good along with extra benfotiamine B1 start low with the Benfotiamine,they come in 150mg capsules usually,take half a capsule daily for a week or 2 then increase to a full capsule,then repeat untill you've found the dose that helps you,you can eventually take up to 600mg daily.
@CIRSlab
@CIRSlab Жыл бұрын
It may help! One way in which it might is by stimulating a peptide hormone called Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (MSH), which is produced in the pituitary/hypothalamic regions. MSH has a large number of regulating functions in the body, and one of them is gut permeability (a deficiency in MSH results in leaky gut, which results in dysbiosis, IBS, and so on). There are studies showing a strong relation between MSH and IBD. It turns out that nicotine is a potent stimulant of MSH in the brain, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's beneficial in patients with an abnormal digestive problems, particularly when the underlying cause is a deficiency in MSH. We've been able to test this hypothesis in a patient population with something called Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).

It is NOT the cigarettes they are talking about. The "addiction" comes from the CHEMICALS that they put in MOST mainstream cigarettes - not in the kind you say you smoked - which is why you easily gave them out without feeling addicted. Nicotine on it's own is NOT addictive! But it is important to purchase clean, pure form of nicotine if you purchase the patches.
@bryang949
@bryang949 3 ай бұрын
I have actually read that nicotine itself is NOT addictive at all and that when the heads of the tobacco giants declared in 1994 under oath to the US Congress that it was not addictive they were in fact telling the truth!!! However, the addiction was created by other elements of the products they were making to create the addiction. The truth of the matter is that there are many health benefits of nicotine that "the system" does not want you to know about and hence its demonization
