This has been a massive undertaking. Thousands of WFSE members across the state sending contract proposals for a period over the last two years.

The maintenance mechanics need to be included if they are assigned a certain trade , there are a lot of MM4’s or MM3’s that are electricians or HVAC techs and they are extremely under paid , that goes along with the whole tree ! The supervisors of these tradesman also need compensation , please please include the MM class if they are assigned to a trade for example an MM3 that is required to have an electrical license etc. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN or we WONT HAVE ANYONE TO WORK !

Only problem I see is a lot of us that are in the trades Carpenters, painters, HVAC and electrical all took new titles several years back to get a pay raise and we all became maintenance mechanics. So I hope somebody thought of all of those trades people. Because where we're at now we are all way underpaid. And several years back I mean mid-2000 is when a lot of us switched over to maintenance mechanics through DES, L&I and most other agencies nearby.
